SUNBEAM ALPINE SERIES 3 LONG MOT AND TAX

Hello and welcome to the sale of my 1963 Sunbeam Alpine
These cars in my opinion are the prettiest sports cars of their day with the styling and especially the rear fins. a characteristic not seen on the later series cars. The series 3 is the rarest of all the series alpines with just over a mere 5000 being made back in the day.
a 1592cc Holbay engine the car has plenty of power and she will happily cruise along with modern day traffic.
This particular car has covered just over 58000 miles. I have lots of paperwork to confirm this is genuine.
The body number shows B9203000 OD indicating that this is a series 3 alpine and was the 3000th car off the production line.
There is an overdrive unit also fitted to this car. Making more economical driving. When driving the car around I have managed to average 40mpg
She has twin  36WIP carbs. these I have balanced and the fuel mixture has been set to the correct level.
The timing has also been set and she drives great. The water system has been flushed through to remove any sludge in the system.
I converted the car to an alternator charging system however the original regulator box and dynamo will still be included in the sale if the new owner wishes to convert it back. The car also has had a new battery fitted.
The clutch master cylinder has been recently overhauled with a new seal kit being fitted.
also both rear brake cylinders have been replaced.  
When I bought the car is had a new mohair hood but had not been fitted. This I have fitted myself and does not look too bad. for a non professional installation I was very happy with it. although the new owner may wish to just tweak it a little to remove some of the minor wrinkles.  
The previous owner had the interior re upholstered. And there was also a new walnut dashboard fitted.
I have also done a full oil and filter change since I have bought the car. New spark plugs and a fuel filter. I have also fitted an electronic ignition kit for improved performance and reliability 
Please be aware: The paintwork is not as good as the photos make it look. the bumpers are stainless so will not rust. the car is not a rust bucket and I did have plans to fully strip and restore eventually but I am selling as work commitments mean I will no longer be able to drive the car and would rather see her go to a good home than just sit in a garage.
