1973 Plymouth Satellite Sebring for sale
Current customer rating: (218 votes ) based onSince I purchased the car I have done a lot of work to it. I pulled the great running engine. despite the low mileage and resealed everything. changed the oil pump. water pump. belts and timing chain and gears. The valve seals were hard so they got replaced. too. You could still see the honing marks in the stock diameter bores and there was no ridge at all. making me certain that the mileage was accurate. While I had the engine apart I swapped on a 600 Holley vacuum secondary carb and a stock four barrel intake. I didn't trust the original plastic covered timing gear. so I installed the new steel gear set and chain. I wanted to be sure it would be dependable. I also pulled the transmission which worked perfectly and replaced all the ancient seals and o-rings. once again just to be sure it wouldn't give me any trouble. I also replaced the rear end pinion seal and the master cylinder. brake calipers and wheel cylinders. Nobody should trust original 1973 brake parts with their life. The car has never let me down. it is dependable and runs on regular gas. the only car I own that will do that!
The car originally had a bench seat. so I replaced it with correct `73-4 buckets with new Legendary covers. The headliner. door panels and carpet are all original. as is all the glass. except the windshield which was fogged around the edges. so I replaced it. The car has been repainted the original color in base/clear. since the original paint was dull and faded. especially the driver's side. which was the sunny side while it sat in the carport. When the car was painted. the bumpers. which were not rusty. just dull and pepper speckled. got blasted. primed and painted body color. I removed the side moldings and then painted the Road Runner style stripes under the clear.
The tires have excellent tread and look good on the original 14" Magnum wheels. The air conditioning doesn't blow cold. but since the car is located at my winter home in Southern Alabama. I never bothered to charge it. It isn't warm enough for a Michigan resident to need a/c in southern Alabama in the winter. The a/c system is complete and should evacuate and charge just fine. All the lights work. even the fender turn signal indicators. The original AM-FM radio also works. well it works like an `73 radio should. the sound quality doesn't compare with today's car audio. If you have any questions. email. I will be happy to answer them.
Now the legal stuff: I am not a dealer. just a Mopar collector that is running out of space and needs to sell a few cars. Therefore. the car is sold as-is. where-is with no warranty whatsoever. I will require a non-refundable deposit in the amount of $1000. 00 via Paypal within 48 hours of auction close. I will not end the auction early for a buy-it-now offer. That would not be fair to bidders that like to wait until the last minute to place their bid. The balance of the purchase price must be paid within seven days of the auction close. Acceptable forms of payment include: cash at pickup. wire transfer. or a cashier's check that has cleared my local bank. if you are local and would like to see the car. or would like to have an appraiser check it out. just let me know and we'll make an appointment. I am not interested in any trades and do not offer financing. I will be happy to work with a shipper if that is your plan. The car must be picked up prior to April 7th. since I will be leaving to return to my Michigan summer home at that time. Please understand that bidding on this car means you accept my terms and intend to complete the sale. If you are an ebay veteran. I apologize for making you read all this. but some rookies think that winning an ebay auction means you can then show up and try to negotiate a better deal. that is not how this works. You win the auction. you bought the car and are expected to complete the sale.
