Ford Escort Mk2 1600 Sport Rally car project

1980 Mk2 Escort 1600 Sport imported from South Africa earlier this year
It was going to be a group 1 Rally car but I just don't have the time to finish the job so am putting up for sale as a project vehicle - this is a great project for someone with the energy to finish it up !
On arrival interior was stripped out and it was found that the car needed welding to passenger footwell. inner sill. passenger side A pillar - this has been done professionally at a cost of circa £1000 by a garage
Floor crush holes have been welded up. roll cage floor strengthening plates have been seam welded in. bulkhead to front wing strengthening gussets welded too
Also a brand new 6 point bolt with door bars  in Safety Devices Roll Cage is loosely assembled in the car (will need fixing down) - this cost £600
In the boot alloy tank stand has been welded in and an alloy tank and straps are included in the sale but not yet fitted (cost £240)
Filter King fuel filter fuel pressure regulator and facet silver top fuel pump mounted on alloy stand in boot (cot over £50). plus battery tray fitted in boot.
Wheel post also in boot
I have firewalled the vehicle myself - using aluminium panel. Firewall infill panels in boot fitted too - everything sealed with fire retardant silicon and heat resistant tape - bigger gaps filled with fire retardant foam 
Still running 1600 engine with twin choke weber carb - I still have the original air filter pan (just not in pics)
Complete set of brand new door cards included - rear ones have been fitted  (cost £100)
Set of weld-in seat bars included (not fitted) included in sale
Fire extinguisher pull cord and fuel pump blanking plate included
I have been working my way around the car - doing small welding jobs myself - using the garage for more complicated jobs
The last area to be done is the front and it needs repair around headlights too. and a repair to the front chassis rail where it meets the spoiler - I have a pre cut repair piece that is to be fitted - I will provide this with the car. I also still have the original rubber front spoiler which was removed to start work on the front area - also included in the sale
There is a long length of (expensive!) braided fuel hose included too to go from tank to carb - as well as enough new battery cable to go from boot to engine bay.
The wiring loom will need reconnecting (cut to do the firewall)
Aluminium switch pabel with batter cut out switch mounted is also included in the sale (not fitted)
I also have a set of twin 40 webers in very good condition for sale on a separate auction
I have had interest from someone local who is desperate to buy the car but I am listing on here for a few days first to see what response I get
