1973 FORD MUSTANG HARDTOP COUPE

For sale is a stunning tax exempt 1972 Ford Mustang Hardtop Coupe. Yellow with brown vinyl bucket seats and matching interior. this is a numbers matching car featuring a 302 4. 9 litre V8 with 3 speed auto transmission in factory colour scheme complete with its original push button radio. Factory optioned rear wind down windows. Colour matched Mach 1 style front bumper with a Boss front spoiler. Mach 1 decals. genuine sports mirrors and air-scoop bonnet. 15 x 8 polished alloy wheels fitted with BF Goodrich T/A radials

This 1973 model Mustang was imported into the UK from California in 1991 and restored by the Mustang Shop between 2005 and 2007. This included a full body strip down. new floor pans. new seat covers. carpets and headlining. repaint and full rustproofing. The engine and gearbox were overhauled and has been maintained by the Mustang Shop for many years.

The 302 has been upgraded with a Holley 4 barrel 600 CFM Performance carburettor. Edelbrock intake. fast road cam. chrome rocker covers. custom headers and chrome Ford Motorsport air cleaner. New distributor cap. leads. plugs and coil just fitted. Recent work includes a major overhaul to the drum braking system including the fitting of new wheel cylinders and shoes. New door seals. new ball joints. recovered dash top. and a complete repaint in Mustang Screaming Yellow.  There is also a new custom made stainless steel exhaust system that exits just in front of the rear wheels that sounds glorious. although this can easily be changed for original if required.

Mileage reads 34940. original records show it was 76000 when imported.

To be included in the "Buy it Now" price is a brand new set of Cragar S/S chrome wheels with brand new BF Goodridge T/A radial tyres.

Size 15 x 7 fronts and 15 x 8 rear. these cost over £1500. 00 and makes this Mustang a real bargain. The wheels come with chrome nuts. chrome valve stems and the tyres are filled with nitrogen. The last 3 photos show the wheels/tyres and views of the car with them fitted.

MOT certificates go back to its importation in 1991. comes with a factory build sheet. original sales invoice along with a history file is included

There is a current MOT until 21. 12. 13 and is taxed until August 2014.

This rare restored Hardtop has been cherished by its 3 long term owners each improving the car at considerable expense and is now offered in lovely condition and is a joy to drive. It has appeared a photo shoot and won various trophy's including best in show the most recent being summer 2012. and in 2013. featured in a local paper following a Classic run.

Having spent nearly £3000 recently the car was going to be a "keeper". It is only being offered for sale now due to impending loss of storage and changing work situation.
