1936 Nash Lafayette

Beautiful well preserved old car!

Mileage is original! 35. 00 original miles!

This Nash is somewhere between a survivor and a restoration. This car has all of its original drivetrain and rust free body panels. The restoration work consists of a rebuilt motor and trans/clutch in 1994 with only a few hundred miles added since. It was repainted in lacquer some time ago. but still looks great. It has a few nicks and dings. but it is a 1936! The interior has been completely redone in original style upholstery and is beautiful.
Tires are new. the brakes work perfectly. The car runs and drives well.

Although this Nash is in great condition. it is not without its flaws. The following could use some attention: This car has the flathead inline 6 cylinder motor with a valve train that needs adjusting from time to time (it's about that time now). Again. the car runs great. however the valve lifters are a little noisy in my opinion. Some of my old timer friends say that this is how they sounded?  The fuel gauge s not working. and the drivers door only opens from the outside. The trunk lock is missing. The car is also missing a windshield wiper. These are all easy fixes on an old car. I just don't have the time to fix these issues.

All in all. this car is beautiful and ready for the car shows!
