For Sale: 1942 Ford GPW

I am selling my 1942 Ford jeep. nicknamed “Babe”.  She runs. brakes. shifts well. and has a new top. “Babe” has current 2016 registration in California as a historical vehicle.

She is a great “reenactor” jeep. but if you are looking for a parade-bottom-up. off-the-assembly-line restoration this is not the jeep for you. She's got dings and dents and looks like she's seen some action. not just sat in the motor pool.  Since April she has gotten a new fuel pump. new gas tank and fuel sender unit. new reproduction gauges. and recent work on the fuel lines and carburetor.  Comes with a side mounted shovel and axe. not shown in the photos.

Negatives: She could use some paint. The new fuel gauge does not want to function for some reason. probably to do with the electrical ground or wiring. The new speedometer runs about ten MPH slower than the speed the jeep is traveling; I am going to disconnect it and hopefully find the source of the problem.  The parking brake is not functional either and she doesn't have a horn. Comes with a side-mounted shovel and axe. [Not shown in the photos. ]

The jeep has been converted to 12 volt. The engine is the proper Ford flathead engine but is not original.
