1971 Triumph TR6 Maroon overdrive Tax Exempt

TR6  UK MODEL     1ST REGISTERED 7/05/1971    TAX EXEMPT

CP ENGINE  2500cc   150bhp fuel injection .     CD type gearbox.    A Type OVERDRIVE [ with vertical solenoid ]. works smoothly  in  2ND. 3RD. & 4th.                                                                                                                                     

Floor fitted main beam / dip switch

M. O. T until JUNE 2013 [ no advisories ]. will have new MOT when sold

Unleaded cylinder head conversion .  new valve springs & unleaded P. I. metering unit

Both. reconditioned brake calliper sets & Aeroquip brake hoses. Kelvar cooling hose set                                         

New hood etc .   New SPAX adjustable shock absorbers. All 4 road springs replaced .                       

Spin –on oil filter unit fitted.

2007 – 2011 Complete restoration / re-spray  with  engine out etc. Electronic Ignition system fitted.   New seat foam set & seat covers. Original seats without headrests. & all interior and boot trim replaced.   Gearbox oil changed.   Stainless steel exhaust system fitted with twin back boxes.                                                                 

July 2011 to date :-- Both new up-rated  rear lever arm shock absorber units & Link arms fitted.

Replacement starter motor .   New clutch slave cylinder & new fluid. New 90 degree gearbox O/P connection  fitted to speedo cable.  Engine oil & spin-on filter changed. nbsp;

18/11/12  Gearbox & Axle oil level checked  -- OK.   New steering column bushes fitted . handbrake cable & rear shoes re-adjusted. All points on suspension . steering & drive U/J's  greased.                          

Prop-shaft universal joints replaced & greased . Drive shafts inspected & greased.   The chassis has been inspected and is in very good condition

New tyres fitted to both rear wheels & all 4 wheels & spare wheel balanced .   4 wheel alignment checked.

Number of former keepers  9

Have taken the TR6 to Stoneleigh a few times - a round trip of 370 miles each time also to Malvern. round trip of 290 miles - no problems "didn't miss a beat" overdrive operated smoothly

e U/J's U/Js'ake cable & rear shoes re-adjusted

Please note the boot lid is a slightly different shade of maroon
