1975 Reliant Scimitar GTE SE5A. 3. 0L V6 (Ford Essex) 4 speed manual plus overdrive on 3rd and 4th.

I am selling my long term project car due to new house and dog and no longer have the time to continue and finish the project giving it the time it deserves. I have owned the car for a number of years and was previously owned by a friend who started the restoration alongside 2 other scimitars handing over to me so he could focus on one. The car is currently on a SORN as its last MOT has just expired. The car runs although has not been fully tested since a number of works have been completed i. e. new radiator and cooling pipes. It has had limited mileage since the last MOT which it passed with no advisories. The car will need to be towed or taken on a trailer and cannot be test driven for this reason.

I consider the car to have had an extensive amount of work done and that there is work left to do to complete the project. This is likely to be mostly finishing but of course depends on how far the new owner is wishing to take the project.

I will attempt to list the works I have undertaken below but am likely to forget a fair few.

Resprayed in Old English Rover White - a creamy colour as opposed to traditonal white
New Falcon tires all round
New brake discs. pads and rear drum pads
New Brake Servo. copper hoses and Goodrich braided brake lines
New track rod ends
New Momo gear shift lever
Cabin fully sound proofed with top of the range sound deadening multi matt
New carpets
Replaced Brown interior with Black - some work required
Re-furbished radiator
Silicon radiator hoses
New custom Magnecor HT leads
New Coil
New spark plugs. distributor. points. fuses
New clutch slave cylinder
New Battery
Jobs I know to be outstanding:

Tracking
Dash has been badly re sprayed and the top has the usual sun damage and curling. I have a very good condition spare black dash and dials which could be fitted by the new owner
Rear seats backs have yet to be mounted and are just resting in situe
Recently installed refurbished radiator etc. needs testing and running in
Electric windows need attention. Only one switch works and the earthing connections are intermittent
Fuel tank baffle rattles
A few paint crazes. considered minimal and as expected on a scimitar
