Engine:
Original numbers matching 340 is untouched other than new valve cover gaskets and oil pan gaskets. runs excellent. tons of power. quiet. nbsp; no smoke. Original exhaust manifolds and air cleaner. Comes with original AVS carb (rebuilt) needs to be installed. currently running great with a new Edelbrock Performer 625 CFM. New plugs. wires. cap. and rotor. Ignition is Pertronix electronic ignition. with heavy duty coil.
Transmission:
Original numbers matching A727 with mild shift kit. rebuilt in 2012 with 10. 00 miles. shifts crisp.
Wheels:Nice 14 inch Ralley wheels with really nice center caps. Tires are BF Goodrich T/A radials have approx 5k miles on them. in great shape.
Rear:
Original 8. 75 rear end with factory 3. 23 gears. new axle bearings and differential gasket.
Suspension:
Totally rebuilt with polyurethane bushings. new tie rod ends. new pitman arm. nbsp;stronger front sway bar (original factory sway bar included) and new shocks. Leaf springs recurved to factory specs. This car rides really tight.
Steering:
New rebuilt Firm Feel box. power steering pump rebuilt. Steering is excellent.
Interior:
New Legendary seat covers. carpet. and headliner. Dash is original no cracks but does have some shrinkage from the front edge. still looks good. Original door panels in great shape. console (new side carpet). arm-rests and steering wheel are in excellent condition.
Gauges:
All gauges work as they should. other than tach which is a new repro. was working but recently quit may be a ground.
Speedometer works. but is off by 10 miles per hour due to larger tire size. Odometer is frozen at 92k (car has approx 102k on it now as I drove it 10k since rebuild. ) and is missing the tripometer reset knob. Gauge bezel in overall good condition. with some bubbling of lower black decal. otherwise looks great.
Radio is AM works. but very quiet 2 watts.
Body:
This car looked like a Delorean Dart when stripped. totally shiny metal everywhere absolutely no rust. all original panels with only a small amount of filler in a few dings and low spots. Very straight body. Absolutely solid floors. roof. cowl and trunk. One tiny bubble size of a dime behind passenger rear wheel I think is from missed dirt under primer during prep. Original fresh air scoops are in excellent condition too with no warping.
The underside of the car is as clean as the top. This was a non-undercoat car. metal was stripped and primed underneath. sprayed with semi gloss black. frame rails are in excellent condition. Original trunk floor.
All trim and emblems are in excellent shape. there is some pitting on driver's mirror base. Grille. signal-lenses. and tail-lights are excellent condition.
Bumpers: Rear is new Classic Industries reproduction. front is original re-chromed.
Paint:
Original factory color of FC7 Plum Crazy purple is repainted in correct shade using PPG Base coat clear coat. Body was totally stripped to bare metal before repaint. including door jambs. trunk floor. and under hood area.
Exhaust:
New mufflers and tail pipes. with original exhaust tips.
Brakes:
Factory disc brakes (non-power) kelsey hayes 4 piston calipers. totally rebuilt. new pads and shoes. new spring kits and flex hoses. stops excellent. No pulling left or right. nbsp;no brake fade stopping from high speed.
Fuel System:
New fuel pump. new full body length fuel line. nbsp;new fuel tank pickup.
Cooling:
New radiator. cap. nbsp;water pump. hoses.
A/C: New Classic Auto Air condenser. drier. rebuilt compressor. and wiring harness. Evaporator unit totally rebuilt. All new gaskets. o-rings and sensor. all hard lines restored. System was working before disassembly but currently needs correct fan switch installed. The new reproduction harness did not match the old switch. nbsp; Just received the (hopefully) matching switch. nbsp;may try to install and charge system if time allows.
Other Info'
Wipers works. but currently has incorrect two speed motor installed. and must be manually parked. Car comes with the correct Rallye dash 3 speed motor and 3 speed switch (just purchased needs installed). In photo under rear of car a yellow shop rag can be seen stuffed into a body plug hole. That hole now has the correct body plug in it!
This car is absolutely beautiful! Very original. turns heads everywhere. nbsp;lots of thumbs up. The light A-Body with a 340 makes for a quick car which is a blast to drive. Very few Darts (or any A-Body cars) have this many options. and still retain all the original numbers matching drivetrain. Even fewer with the FC7 paint code. This is probably one of the rarest. most original A-Bodies I have every seen. Bid with confidence on this original. rare Mopar!Car comes with a clean Florida title
