1967 Datsun 2000 Roadster

For Sale is a 1967 Datsun 2000 Roadster.  The car is a matching numbers car. SRL311-0697 with motor 01499.  Its a SU carb'd car with A-cam. 5 speed. and 3. 7 rear end.  It has all the hard to find parts of these rare cars except the correct window cranks.  It has the original nissan top that has had replacement windows sewn in.  
The car is a daily driver and looks good from 10 feet.  The paint is about 15 years old and could use a respray. but is very presentable for a weekend/daily car.  It has parking lot dings and scratches in the paint.  The floors. rockers. and firewall are solid with no known rust.  There is a place behind the passenger rear wheel that is bubbling and has a few small holes.  This could be easily fixed when repainting.  The second rust area is the inner fender underneath the battery.  The front bumper has some chrome peeling and bubbling up. Overall its a solid car.  The mechanicals of the car are very good as well as the electrical.  ALL gauges work including the clock and are fairly accurate (the clock gains about 2 minutes a week).  ALL electrical items work as they should except for windshield washer (motor is locked. but the electrical is good).  Yes all the electrical works: horn. turn signals. running lights. brake lights. High/Low Headlights. charging system. fuel gauge. temp gauge. oil pressure gauge. reverse light. emergency flashers. wipers. map light. clock. heater. and the original AM radio.  The car drives/stops straight. shifts good. and starts easily. and is a blast to drive.  Oil pressure is good. runs at 50 psi and idles at 30 psi.  Motor compression test 160-164 on each cylinder.  There is a port hole hardtop that comes with the car if you want it.  Hardtop is in fair condition and serves its purpose.
The car is being sold As-Is. No warranty written or implied.  Its a 46 year old car that has been restored once or twice over the years.  It will leave a oil spot when parked. but hasn't needed any additional oil between changes.  If you put a fresh interior kit in it. and a new paint job you would have a very nice car that would show very well and is one of the rare ones.  The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction early.  If you have any questions or need additional information please ask.  The car can be seen and driven with appointment.  I will not ship. but will be available for new owner to pick up or assist owners transport company loading.
