1966 Ford Mustang manual PROJECT.

Up for sale is this 1966 Mustang C-code. All original car with console 4-speed manual. This car was imported from California in March 2004. Car was originally Wimbledon White but it is now in black primer as a lot of the car has been sanded back to bare metal with some bodywork done in areas. This car has been sitting for the past 13 years. but after some work the car now runs. drives. changes gears and stops. All gauges except AMPS work. Dash lights and headlights don't work. most likely because the fuse box is quite rusty. Original radio is still in the car but doesn't work.  

Over the past few months this is some of the work that has been done. with receipts for everything kept. Majority of these parts were purchased from Mustangs of Melbourne.

Engine: New battery. yellow top coil. rotor button. condenser. ignition points. distributor cap. plugs. radiator and heater hoses. oil. oil filter. oil sump gasket. valve cover gasket. clutch rod bushes and springs. water pump. thermostat housing. thermostat. cooling system flush. The car also runs a mild cam. Holley carb. Edelbrock manifold as well as genuine Hi-Po exhaust manifolds into a twin 2 1/2 inch exhaust system. and upgraded valve springs to the same as Hi-Po. This car sounds great!

Fuel System: New fuel pump. rebuilt Holley 600cfm. fuel sender unit. rubber fuel lines. fuel filters. fuel filler hose. fuel filler gasket. fuel linkage kit. Fuel tank has been drained and currently has premium fuel in it and the cur runs very strong.

Interior: When the car was purchased in came with (but was not installed) new seats. carpet. underlay and hood lining. The car also has a new gear shift boot. all interior door handles and window winders. instrument bezel with LED lights. ignition cylinder. headlight switch. heater plenum. wind lace. front seat belts. all pedal pads with accelerator pedal spring and all chrome dress rings.
All that is needed to finish the interior is Dash Pad. door panels. package tray. glove box door kit. align the windows better and to install the headlining.

A lot of the necessary fasting and hardware has been purchased and is all Mustang correct. Again. I have receipts for this.

Spares: New exterior door handles and locks (with matching keys to ignition). rear view and side mirrors. sun visor brackets. idler arm bushing. tail light lens. rear quarter window seals. There is probably more that I have forgotten.  

Missing: Drivers side drip rail molding. 1 piece from both front and rear windscreen moldings.  As you can see. this Mustang requires a bit of work to the body. There is rust in the drivers' front guard. door and rear quarter. a small area on both drip rails and a small area in boot lid. The cowl has rust in the usual mustang areas. Not long after the car was imported it has new floors put in. they're still in great shape. The front windscreen is cracked. but both screens will need to be removed to install headlining. I can organise a new windscreen for the new buyer for $150.
