1985 MAZDA RX7 GSL-SE
Such a FUN car to DRIVE!!!

A little background on the first generation Mazda RX& sports car.   The Mazda RX7 was affordable. quick and well built.   The Mazda GS cars were more heavily optioned including air conditioning. then the GSL package added disc brakes at all four wheels and then the 13B engine became available for the GSL-SE package making these the quickest of the first generation cars.   Bottom line is that the Mazda RX7 GSL-SE is a delightful and affordable sports car.

The owner of this car purchased it many years ago. he thinks he may have owned it about 30 years.   This 1985 Mazda RX7 GSL-SE was never driven in bad weather and always garaged.   The private seller said he always had drivers for everyday errands and the 1985 Mazda RX7 GSL-SE was always babied and he tells us it was never damaged and is a good solid car with no rust.   The hatchback carpet area has faded some and the air conditioner could use a charge but basically this 1985 Mazda RX7 GSL-SE is in fine condition.   The private seller tells us he always keeps up on the maintenance and all equipment comes from Racing Beat. such as the shocks and springs and it has a complete exhaust from the header back that was $1. 82.   The car has a Racing Beat sway bar that is adjustable for the race track but he has never raced the car.

The owner says that this is absolutely the most fun sports car to drive because of its lightweight body and suspension it is just a joy out on the road.

The private seller tells us that he is an extremely fussy car guy and has kept the car in wonderful condition.   The elderly seller was not able to get great photos of the car but we hope you can see from the available photos that this is a very well cared for car.

(Rotary) Power to the People. 1979-1985 Mazda RX-7 Buer's Guide. MotorTrend April 1. 2013 by Rory Jurnecka stated in the article that the last year of the FB RX-7 is one of the most collectible.   The bottom line: the first generation RX-7 today is a usable - even practical - classic that highlights some of the best features of the rotary engine at a modest cost.

There are Clubs for RX-7 owners to join and many books have been about the RX-7
