With much reluctance I have decided to sell my CJ7. I have owned this jeep for about 15 years and have had incredible experiences with this vehicle. I am an auto technician by trade and I have modified this Jeep inside and out to make it into a very capable. fun to drive machine. The first major change came in 2001 with a body tub from an 88 Wrangler because the original was shot. I kept the CJ front half. painted it all black. bedlined the inside and added a front roll bar in the process. I drove it for a few more years but the carbureted motor left alot to be desired off road. especially climbing. I pulled the 4. 2l six and installed a 4. 3l Vortec with a fresh 4L60E transmission from a 1994 S-10 Blazer.  I have had no regrets with this swap. The Vortec has plenty of torque. it is way lighter than stock. and the automatic is fantastic off road. I used an Advance Adapter to mate to the original Dana 300 transfer case. with twin stick shifters. While I had the jeep down to the frame. I welded reinforcement plates throughout the back half for strength. I plated the front for the bumper mounting and shackle hangers and painted it all with POR-15. I performed a spring over conversion using modified Wrangler springs which are longer. wider and MUCH softer that CJ springs. This was a huge improvement in ride quality and articulation. I added a rear traction bar to eliminate the spring wrap involved with soft springs over the rear axle. The Jeep has Bilstein 5150 Long travel shocks front and rear. Both driveshafts are custom units by Inland Truck Parts in Olathe. With the addition of 35" Pro Comp X-Terrains and Eagle alloys the gearing was really an issue. I went all out and installed 5. 38 gears with Superior alloy front axles and a Detriot No Slip locker in the front Dana 30. The rear factory Dana 44 had 5. 38's and the diff is open. The gears work perfectly with the overdrive in the auto transmission. the Jeep is fully highway capable.

It has a Warn HS9500 winch behind a Bulletproof Mfg. front bumper and a Tomken rear bumper with spare tire carrier. Matching alloy for the spare. The exhaust is new and it has a Bestop top with steel 1/2 doors. Bikini top also. I have HID off road lights on the front bumper as well. and they are BRIGHT. The seats are all newer and in great shape. The dash is yellow and there is no radio or A/C. but the heat works well. The only ailment is that there is some rust showing up on the body. I never drove this in the winter so that surprises me.

I have this Jeep listed locally as well so I advise contacting me while bidding. If the Jeep sells locally I will have to end the auction early.
