Fully restored with original chrome and restoration parts throughout. this custom CocaCola-themed pickup is a show-stopper. based on awards its received in its short time on the classic vehicle circuit.   The 1949 International KB-1 pickup truck with 4-speed standard transmission and on an original chassis is all decked out in a red and white exterior to emphasize its CocaCola theme - down to CocaCola advertising ("Drink CocaCola in Bottles") on its doors and wooden crates holding 432 small (full) CocaCola bottles in its open pickup bed.

The work of a master mechanic-restorer. this beauty features all new glass and felt liners in its windows. special order whitewall tires (7. 00-16 Firestones) and add-on directional signaling for its running/brake lights (drivers used to use hand signals to designate turns!).   Lots of special touches emphasize this distinctive vehicle's details -- chromed rear-view mirror. nbsp;door hinges. windshield wipers and cap on its 10-15 gallon gas tank.  The restoration process relied on original and reconditioned original parts.

Magnificent shiny chrome grille ribs and original International 3-diamond badge/emblem on its prominent red hood are highlighted by a broad front chrome bumper and massive white fenders with single round lights.

Inside. black faux leather bench seat. black rubber floor liner and big black steering wheel contrast with the flame red painted dashboard and interior door panels.  No seatbelts as they were not original on this vehicle.  Original dashboard cluster of speedometer and four smaller gauges and pullout buttons for controlling lights. choke.  This vehicle does not have a radio. in keeping with its original condition.  Directional signal add-on to steering column features reminder beep to driver to cancel signal once turn is executed.   Original heater features 2 hinged doors to manually adjust the amount of heat entering the passenger compartment.   Front windshield cranks open in one piece from bottom to permit fresh air to enter. along with a front vent on the back of the hood.   Detailing includes original cardboard insert for glove box. Passenger compartment wall behind bench seat features a rectangular window with rounded edges. complementing the rounded cab lines. Side windows crank up and down. Parking brake with button release.   Turn the key and press the starter button and you're off!

Odometer registered 33. 33 miles when restoration began - rebuild mileage is less than 200 miles.

Original chrome "moon-style"/"dog dish" hubcaps bear International logo and are surrounded by red wheel housing that further emphasizes the wide whitewall tires.   Smaller white rear wheel fenders located behind short white running boards under doors are protected from thrown stones by black rock guards in front.   Truck bed sides have raised wooden (oak) railings to protect cargo and a plain drop-down gate (the International name imprint on tailgate came later) secured with heavy chrome-plated steel chain on each side.   Large round bottle-cap style plaques on each side railing carry the Coke theme in familiar color image. Single exhaust.

Striking exterior appearance is only part of this truck's appeal.  Under the hood. the Diamond Green 6-cylinder engine and other components in the uncluttered engine compartment are extra clean and simple by today's standard.   Steel rods in a large X pattern stretch across the compartment for added strength and protection of this truck's inner workings.   Large prominent radiator.   All restoration parts here and their well-tuned operation have the benefit of the mechanic's expertise and workmanship.   Vehicle runs smoothly and has been transported on trailer to distant classic car shows.

Restorer-mechanic is selling this unique vehicle so he can move on to his next project.   He believes the truck may have been a fire department vehicle because of its original red color.   It had been owned by at least two persons before he acquired the original components to begin its restoration.

Underbody photos available on request (original frame/chassis photo in photo section).   Buyer pickup or delivery may be negotiated with current owner after sale.
