Now. this is a very very pretty Morris 10/4 I am selling for a very good friend who has decided it is time. very reluctantly. to move it on as he has other projects on the go and this smashing car. sadly. just isn't being used as it should. It has had a great deal of work done and time spent in the past and is in a first class and superb condition. The coachwork is black over maroon with black waistline moulding which really does compliment the whole aspect of this beautiful period motor car. The chrome to radiator is good. as is other bright work. and it draws complimentary remarks wherever it goes. Interior leather is very nice indeed. in fact I would say stunning but I'm biased. and floor coverings are spot on. There really is nothing amiss with this lovely motorcar.
Mechanically it is very sound and has had a full engine rebuild in the not to distant past with great attention to the white metal bearings. Gearbox and final drive are spot on. suspension and steering good and king pins etc. without fault. A strict service regime has been adhered to that ensured absolute 100% reliability which has indeed paid off. Latterly it has had a new lower crank/flywheel housing and. at great expense. a steering box overhaul with new steering worm and actuating peg. Wiring harness is good as are all periphery items. i. e. this is a good un that has travelled many miles and never has it missed a beat.
Large file of papers including buff logbook from 1954 with green continuation book. MOT's back to 1976 and loads of other receipts etc. that form the Morris's history. If you are looking for a prewar car that will give trouble free service this really is the one as. although I keep labouring the point. it is cock on.
Probably forgotten something so please do feel free to ask and if I can help then very happy to do so.
Now sadly due to inordinate amount of timewasters and loons I have to say the following :- My terms and conditions are as follows. viz. winning bids are final so please do not try to haggle afterwards. I value my feedback and for your peace of mind please see said feedback to see that what I say is how it is i. e. no bull plain as the nose on your face. No part exchanges for a 1978 Austin Allegro with dodgy cross tube mountings or anything like . Its a straight sale pure and simple. Not interested in Uncle Mgumbootoo from Nigeria who has 70 golden goats teeth who's brother owns a bank and if I send bank details blah blah. It ain't happening. Straight sale. I sell - You pay end of. Not a problem for genuine interested purchasers to try before you buy. in fact its welcomed and encouraged so do feel free to ask. It is a cash on collection sale or bank transfer/cheque cleared before collection with full receipt given. That's it and apologies to genuine folk but experience dictates that I have to add the last paragraph.
Finally good luck with your bidding and reiterate any questions etc. please ask on 07890 631494.
