RARE CONVERTIBLE SUNBEAM TALBOT 90 IIa
FOR RESTORATION

Very reluctantly after storing her for 20+ years in a friend's barns. all the while accumulating rare parts and restoring various parts. nbsp; I have acknowledged that I don't have the time to fully restore this rare. affordable 4 seat convertible. When I bought her my daughters were new borne and she was going to take my daughters to their weddings.   As that time is fast approaching and I am not in a position to restore her I have bitten the bullet and leave the restoration of this historic vehicle to a better man than me to bring her back to her post war glory. To once more cruise with the top down the lanes and byways in the summer . To park outside a pub bathed in admiring glances and sunshine.  Now some detail . This is a barn stored drophead Sunbeam Talbot 90 IIa convertible for restoration. The convertible body has been transferred to a restored chassis and refitted engine complete with fuel lines. brake piping and exhaust system. One might say the work is half done as the chassis and engine are major components for this car. The body looks at its worst at the moment it has been stripped to its bare bones and areas of filler removed particularly around the rear quarters. I have two solid rear quarters salvaged from another donor car that I intended to let in along with rear valances. There are also other panels additional wings . bulkheads from other donors as panels which are hard to come by.  The restored chassis and engine are from a  MkIII saloon . The engine has been running recently . It sounds smooth and responsive with a good exhaust note . There is included in this sale the old rolling chassis  and engine for any parts you may want or need .  The body is an un-restored Mark IIa. The interior seating was restored 10 years ago. It has a full heater and a magnificent Valve radio which still works when last tried(There is a separate overdrive gearbox not included in this sale if required and associated  steering wheel switch gear . There is also a castle floor change available )The car has full V5 documentation and 6 character registration.   The car has a reserved price on it so please do not make me silly offers . or ask to break it up into parts . I have had this car through thick and thin and The car has been valued recently by a Sunbeam Restoration expert and he put a price on it of £4-5000 . Now I am realistic but I will not sell for peanuts. I hope it goes to someone who treasures these magnificent cars as much as I have done so no tyre kickers either please. Visionaries are always welcome provided their cash is not visionary too.  The car is advertised else where so I reserve the right to finish the auction if sold elsewhere .  Year 1953Model Sunbeam Talbot 90 DHCType ConvertibleDoors 2Colour Crystal GreenReg date  1953Engine Size 2267Fuel PetrolDrive RHDV5 Doc Yes Any questions please ask Neil on - 07990595640

I have a 1954 mk 2a convertible which has been off the road since 1989 when I bought it. Looks tidy but needs work to sills and rear wheel arches even though it could be tidied up,recommissioned and used as it is. Has original registration number and some history together with original manual and log book. Floor gear change. Will sell if price is right
