I'm offering my super-cute Nash Metropolitan convertible.  Classic Caribbean Blue (turquoise & white) with matching interior. she attracts a lot of attention.  Everyone has a Nash story! From truckers to Grandmas. they will all give you the thumbs up as you go by.  Originally designed as the wife's easy-to-drive. easy-to-park grocery-getting alternative to the Nash Rambler. this car gets great mileage and has a huge trunk.
The "Metropolitan's staying power and its never-ending cuteness" have earned it "a place among the Greatest Cars of All Time" in the opinion of automotive writer Jack Nerad. a former editor of Motor Trend magazine: "No. the Metropolitan didn't come from a top-of-the-line manufacturer. No. it doesn't have a proud racing history. And. no. it wasn't built in huge numbers. But [it] possesses an ageless. cuddly quality that has made it a perennial favorite of car lovers and car agnostics alike. " Nerad added: "If you wanted to . wring the Met through its paces. you would be rewarded with a 0–60 miles per hour acceleration time of nearly 30 seconds. The Met was reasonably light at approximately 1800 pounds. but that weight was squared off against 42 horsepower. "

Runs and drives like a dream. I've done a lot of mechanical maintenance and have all those records. You are welcome to send a mechanic for a check up.  

History – I've owned this car for four years have driven it less than 1000 miles since.  

Engine – New blocks and rebuilt carburetor make it wonderful on the highway.

Shocks - Installed three years ago.  

Springs - Installed last month.

Steering/Suspension – very good condition but lots of play.

Electrical – The car is still wired in the original positive to ground.    Original radio not hooked up/working.

Exterior - There are a few minor nicks.   The convertible top is new in very good condition with one 2 inch scrape. The chrome could use a little elbow grease.

Wheels/Tires – Two new tires. All five tires are in good condition with good tread.   The “script-M” hub caps are in good shape with a few minor scuffs.   The attachable white walls are one year old in fair condition.

Glass – All the glass is in good shape with no cracks or nicks.

I require a $1000 deposit via PayPal within 48 hours of auction close and payment of the balance when the car is picked up or within 2 weeks. whichever occurs first.   The car is being sold “as is/where is”.   Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.   Carefully read the listing. look at all the pictures and ask questions before purchasing.   I have made every effort to fully and accurately describe the condition of the vehicle.
