We are very proud to offer this 1960 MGA 1600 roadster refinished in bright Gloss Black exterior over Biscuit Tan leather interior. This wonderful example was completely restored approximately 4 years ago to include a beautiful repaint . all new interior. and new black convertible top. Fitted with its fully rebuilt. original 1600cc straight 4-cylinder engine factory equipped with SU carburetors and 4-speed manual transmission. it produces an estimated 78 eager horsepower! All cylinder compression matches at 150lbs. with oil pressure reaching 50psi when hot while at speed. and settling at 15psi at idle. Clutch engagement is excellent. and the brakes are confident and strong! Additional work included new gray fender piping. all new ash wood floors and fresh interior carpet. upholstery. padded dash. MG embroidered carpeted floor mats. and door panels; rebuilding of all the gauges. new gauge bezels. replacement of chrome bumpers. new front grill. 15” painted wire wheels. tires. new windshield & seal. and weather stripping!

Options include standard front disc brakes. Smiths heater. adjustable steering column. aluminum side curtains with sliding windows. dual fender mounted rearview mirrors. 15” painted 72-spoke wire wheels wrapped in 185/65 radial tires. Falcon stainless steel exhaust system. seatbelts. full cabin tonneau cover. and carpeted trunk! Our car is fitted with earlier style rear tail lamps (believed to be 1958) as a preference from the restorer. Complete with a matching spare tire. jack with mallet. MG shop manual. service receipts from former owner. and owner's handbook!

It has been maintained wonderfully over the years! Most recently. this MGA has had new spark plugs installed. complete tune up. new throttle cable installed. rear axle completely rebuilt with new pinion seal. axle seals. wheel seals. gaskets. new Hypoy C gear oil. and new brake shoes. It has also had the coolant system flushed. had an electric cooling fan installed for added engine protection on hot days. new front shocks. new front brake caliper. rebuilt wiper motor. rebuilt generator. new drive belt. new tach drive. added Pertronix ignition system. and has been rewired using a marine style 4-fuse block instead of the original 2 fuse version. For storage purposes. the battery comes fitted with a mini Battery Tender already attached that only needs to be plugged into the wall for battery maintenance. The last valve adjustment was completed at 14. 18 miles. All work was completed by Auto Europe based in Michigan. It is a very faithful example and shows very well throughout!
