Volvo 1800 ES 1973 Concours show car Orange/ Black 4spd O/D B20 A/C Restored MD

1973 Volvo 1800 ES. This car was restored using all New Old stock parts in the early 90's. It has 6500 miles on it since it was rebuilt. The speedometer was set back to 0 when it was rebuilt. Always stored inside. It was a 50k rebuild in 1990's dollars. It was built to be the best restored example of the marque at Volvo club national events. And that it has. many of them. Best of show. Master class ES- 1st. etc. It is one of 4 similar cars that were rebuilt by Garland Culpepper of Norfolk. Va. It has won numerous awards and trophies. articles about it and used by Volvo for promotion. It was previously brought to show in a enclosed trailer. Under my ownership. I have driven it to local shows. I have owned the car for over three years. The title is in my name. The engine and transmission. seats etc have been rebuilt. The body work is exceptional and very well done. It has many coats of clear over the original color orange with a tint of metallic that can only be seen in bright sunshine. Redone correct leather seats. top of the line Clarion CD player. Dynamat floors. chrome valve cover. hood support and fuel rail. Air conditioning blows cold with Sanden compressor. Chrome redone and in very good condition. Sports original wheels with Michelin 185 65 15 with plenty of tread. Car runs and drives well. There was some touch up on the gray crossmember where brake fluid spilled due to leaking master cylinder. (as can be seen in pics) Gas tank and fuel system cleaned with new injectors last year. New master cylinder in 2012. Brakes bled and new rear muffler added at the same time. What few trophies and articles I have on the car I will give to the new owner. along with any reciepts that I have for work I have had done to it under my ownership. I have taken it to local car shows. but it has not been to a VCOA or VSA meet in a few years. Was told that once the car wins in the same family in master class. it cannot again. Unless. it changes hands. which. if it sells. it will. Thought by many to be the best restored ES in the US. must see to appreciate. Pics do not do the car justice. I hope the car continues to stay in the US. but will help as best I can with oversea's buyers. Buyer's responsibility to pick up or arrange to have car picked up in West River. Md.
