Studebaker Champion GASSER Hot Rod

This is a very cool GASSER or Hot Rod bullet nose Studebaker. The car originally came from Albuquerque New Mexico. I have a copy of the title to prove it. It is now a clear Missouri title and is in my name. The body is solid. All original sheet metal. floor pans. trunk pan. rockers. etc. It has had some minor rust repair work done but nothing major. The body is very solid but it does have some dents here and there. Again. nothing major. The paint is just a very thin coat of flat hot rod black over the original maroon paint. It does need paint to make it nice or leave it the way it is for the hot rod / rat rod nostalgia look. The glass is all good. Side windows roll up and down. Chrome ranges from excellent to good driver quality. Tires and wheels are like new. Pie crust slicks are 10" Firestone reproductions. Front axle is out of an old van with a disc brake conversion. It is done right with regular shocks and side to side shock for good steering stabilization. Rear end is a bullet proof Ford 8. 8" with 3. 73 gears and posi-traction. Trans is a 400 Turbo. It shifts fine. Engine is a 350 Chevy 4 both main with enough horsepower to spin the big slicks. but nothing too radical. Engine runs and sounds fine. All lights work. Wipers do not work. Most heater components are there. Some of the original gauges work and some do not. The dash is in great shape including the chrome. The front seats power everything and are real leather. I tested them before installing them so I know they work. but I did not wire them up in the car as of yet. The rear seat and door panels are vinyl and the pattern matches the front seats. Headliner is original and just in OK condition. Interior is very functional but it still needs carpet and other finishing.  
All in all; This is a very cool and rare GASSER just the way it is. that can be enjoyed from day one. yet there is plenty of room to make it "your car" and take it to whatever level you want to take it to. It has the right stance. look. and most of the hard work is done already. Drive it the way it is for now and change it up as money and time become available.  
When was the last time you seen one of these bullet nose Studes?  Not to mention a nose in the air gasser. They only built this body style for 2 years. Willys. Anglias. and Henry J's.  are definitely very cool. but there are usually more than one of each of them at every big event. You can buy this unique car for much less than one of them and still stand tall along side of them.  
Another cool item: This car meets all of the qualifications for the Geezer Gassers. The inner rear fender wells have not been altered or tubbed.    

Now for the business end. I encourage you. or someone you trust or hire. to come by and check out the vehicle in person. I will refund your deposit if the vehicle does not match the above description. The vehicle does not leave here until all funds clear my bank. Bank and cashiers checks can take up to 10 business days. My bank will give me a letter stating the date when the check will clear. I will forward a copy of the letter to you. Bank transfers can take up to 2 days depending on what time of the day it is initiated on your end. Again. my bank will let me know when it clears. Cash is great if picking it up in person. It has come to my attention that some A-Hole has listed my car on Craig's List for much less!!!!!! That ad is a scam to get somebody's money. and I am trying to get it deleted. I only have my car listed on Ebay at this time. I list my name phone number in all of my listings no matter where I list them.
