Mercedes 1970 280SL

This beautiful 1970 280SL 4 speed manual has been meticulously cared for in Atlanta for its entire life.   It has been garaged for all its years.   The car body is completely original. has original carpeting. original undercoating. and is completely rust free.   It was repainted in by the old world craftsman Mike Marcellic of Eurocraft in the original #180 Glasurit paint and clear coat.   He was careful to leave the original headlight notches.   The paint is  stunning.    The rare 4 speed manual transmission shifts perfectly and it drives amazing in turns and accelerates with precision.   The chrome is excellent.   The MB Tex seats are in very good condition.   Trunk pan is original and in excellent condition.   Original beautiful condition Firestone Phoenix spare. jack. chuck and toolbag.   Matching numbers (3041) throughout.   Springs and various bolts show original factory colored dotology markings.  100 detailed pictures are at http://www. flickr. com/photos/70280sl/

Original books and Alabama purchase invoice show history and maintenance as well as mileage history. The alloy wheels 205 70R14 were added in 1996. 4 steel hubs are available.

The original clock keeps great time and Becker radio works.  The car is wired for rear speakers which I use except when at car shows.
