This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The Z28 was a package Chevy developed for their new pony car so they could go Trans Am Racing. It did not only that but gave America one of its most memorable cars to ever wear the bowtie. The 69 Camaro is already an absolute show stopper of a car but add the Z28 package and you have a no frills get in shut hold on track car that can be driven daily. This is a complete numbers matching example with very little miles on the 5 year old restoration it shows extremely well. It is as nice as you would want and still actually drive it. The thing that really made the Z28 was the high revving totally underestimated 302. Only built for 3 years they were rated at 290 HP but that was at 3200 RPM. The only problem is 3200 RPM is where the power starts to come alive. Many people have dynoed a built to factory spec 302 and have seen numbers just shy of 400HP at the crank. Mated to a Muncie M21. a legend in its own right. the car runs out just like it should. With the 12 Bolt posi trac rear end with a set of 3. 73 gears making the cars extremely drivable. The exterior of the car has been refinished back to original factory colors with the body being finished in a code 59 Frost green. The black racing stripes are a great contrast and bring the car back to the way it left the factory. The interior. like the rest of the car. has been taken back to original as well. Per the Data Tag. Code 723 Midnight Green. the interior is equipped with one of the few options you could get on a Z28. a console. The other option was never available on 67-69 Z28's but is a welcomed creature comfort. AC. The system was installed without doing any cutting or welding giving the option be converted back to all original if you choose to do so. With the Z28 ebbing recently revived the originals are seeing a resurgence in not only popularity but price.
