***Please note the car did not sell. I had to re list due to an error in the reserve price that I couldn't edit for some reason.
1968 matching numbers Ford Mustang with HARD TO FIND factory 390 big block S-code. Mardi report certified build 1 of 1 in this combo!!! 100% unmolested. Car was brought in from Texas whilst still running its Texas plates after it had 20K spent on a complete restoration of the exterior. Paint is show condition. all new chrome. door seals. rubbers. brackets. engine bay and absolutely zero rust. brand new american racing torque thrust wheels.

Interior is completely original aside from the horrible 80's stereo that has been put in but can easily be swapped back out (period correct stereos are readily available here in Aus). vinyl. carpets. door trims etc are in exceptional condition. Absolutely NO rips. tears or signs of wear. Centre console. map reading lights and sports deck fold down rear seat.
engine is solid and all original aside from a holly 4 barrel carby and a custom exhaust built in Texas that has been called “one of the best systems i've seen come out of the US” by Mark at Bay Road exhausts in Cheltenham. The big block pulls HARD. sounds phenomenal and chirps in 2nd and 3rd with the hammer down.
This car is an attention grabber on the road and at all the shows. Peoples eyes light up when they see the “390” badge on the side. Not to mention the shear amount of comments I get about the colour.
Make no mistake. this car is superb and rare and needs to be seen in the flesh to truly appreciate the burgundy. I wasn't convinced when I saw pics but in person. its a totally different ball game. Definitely the best 390 I've seen around that isn't concourse and worth 120K+. This one will appreciate! I will be very very sad to see it go but I am only getting rid of it so I can by a manual '66 fastback to convert to a track car. If I could afford it. Id never let it go.
Please speak to some experts as I have and do some research. 67-68 mustangs with big block engines in this condition are getting more and more rare and expensive. This is one of the good ones.
Price is reasonable for the condition and current market.
Currently on club plates.
Feel free to give me a call to arrange an inspection or for any questions.
