1968 MGC Roadster. British racing green with black leather piped in white. Showing 17000 miles on the clockSubject of a £20000 Full restoration completed to the highest of standards. Everything has been either repaired refurbished or replaced. New unleaded engine fitted @ £3000
THE BODYWORKPristine paintwork with a lovely deep shine to the paint. the MGB has probably the best panel fitment and panel gaps that I have ever seen on an MG. no dents chips or scratches anywhere.
THE SOFT TOPBrand new soft top. obviously perfect condition with no rips or splits. crystal clear back window. the hood frame has been powder coated and is like new. also there is a full tonneau which is in perfect order.
THE MECHANICS. Silky smooth 2912cc 6 cylinder engine which is a new replacement unit with a unleaded head conversion. runs like clockwork and maintains excellent oil pressure and water temperature.
THE GEARBOX4 speed manual with overdrive on 3rd and 4th gear. this has been rebuilt in the restoration and operates exactly as it should.
THE INTERIORSuperbly retrimmed in black leather with white piping. these are the correct seats for the model year. new carpets throughout. original steering wheel and perfect unmarked dashboard. The door cards are as new and have never been cut for speakers.
SUMMARYA perfect restored MGC roadster in BRG with superb mechanics which has been subject to a £20000 restoration. I truly believe that this is the best MGC for the money as people are asking up to £25k for similar examples.
Before I get inundated with people asking why it was registered in 1993. please let me explain. the car has spent its early years in Southern Ireland and it was brought back into the UK in 1993. the V5C clearly states date of first registration is 1968 but date of first registration in the UK is 1993. This is not an American car which has been converted from Left to right hand drive. it was supplied new in RHD form and despached to Southern Ireland.
