This car has just undergone a huge mechanical restoration by marque specialist Ben Smith. Copious notes of the work come with the car running into many pages of detailed notes. The car is still being run in after the rebuild with 2000 miles already covered out of the 3000 recommended running in miles.

In addition to the full engine rebuild all ancillaries have also been attended to including the one shot system. road springs. dampers. Dynamo. brake linings. brake servo. king pins. a new fuel tank. etc etc etc. A full rewire has been undertaken in correct braided wire correctly colour coded. A modern cartridge style oil filter is also fitted.

The engine bay is well detailed with large tools present & a Bosch horn under the bonnet. (maybe ordered by Mr Schmidt of Switzerland who ordered the car when new. ) The original ignition. door & boot locks all work with their respective keys. Flashing indicators have been fitted working in conjunction with the original semaphores. An original handbook comes with the car.

The coachwork is painted in the original colour of burgundy over black. The car as a whole has a very very unmolested & original feel to it. There are some minor issues with blemishes under the paint but not enough to detract from the cars appearance. The interior is delightfully patinated maroon leather which over the years has developed a delightful "gentlemans club" feel to it. The headlining is all good extending to the underside of the working sunroof. The top surfaces of the sunroof have recently been re-covered. Attention has been given to the rebuilding the boot lid. a notoriously weak area on these cars; the original brass hinges having been retained.

The car thus comes to us in perfect running order with a strong quiet engine. The exhaust is just the right shade of grey indicating well set up carburetion. This is a really fine example with a very original feel to it & needing nothing. the hard work having all been done.
