1971 mini cooper s mk3 1275, one owner from new, dry stored for many years for sale

Mk3 mini cooper s. white. one owner from new. excellent condition. original shell. original engine and gearbox. original BRM alloy wheels fitted in the 70's. it has been dry stored since 1985. was returned to the road in 1993 for one year then dry stored again until today.

A 100% genuine cooper s. also has a letter from british motor heritage confirming model as a 1275 s. anyone who knows what they are looking at will know that though.
Still has the original floorpans but has had the larger sills fitted in the early 80's (neat job)
Unfortunately it also had extended arches fitted in the early 80's although the original arch and lip is present underneath so these can be easily removed. at the same time the front and rear seams were carefully bent over and flattened against the bodywork then filled over to make it look de-seamed. this can be confirmed by folding back the roof lining on the roof pillars. it sounds awful but its actually a very neat job.


Stupid thing to do I know but it was all the rage then !!


This was done professionally and looks very neat. the seams are still there and could with a little work be re-instated. the general bodywork condition is excellent but it really needs putting back to standard in my opinion.


There cant be many one owner cooper s left. its a shame about the body mods but it would be possible to rectify those.
The car is on the button sounds great and in my opinion would easily pass an mot as it stands. original body number and engine number present in fact all panels are original except for the sills and rear valance under the bumper.
