 I'm offering a very clean restored 1973 240z. I purchased the vehicle from the first owners in Costa Mesa California. The Barber family purchased this original Brown 240z on 3/1/1973 from Garden Grove Datsun. address 13861 Harbor Blvd. Garden Grove. CA 92640.  It comes with the original purchase agreement. Promissory Note. some maintenance records. original owners manual. picture brochure and some old registration cards from mid 70's.   The 240z sat in the garage for well over 15 years with the occasional usage and maintenance to prevent seizing. The engine was swapped to an L28 w/ 5 speed tranny for whatever reason. The interior is very nice only molested to repaint inside the door jams and hatch area. The exterior is awesome it received all new OEM emblems from Nissan and a 2 stage paint job. The underside is also in great shape. I see no rust.

 Engine was inspected by a Datsun mechanic and gave it a thumbs up!!!

 Start up and driving feeling: Runs very strong and shifts nicely. It idles great. Little rough on cold start.   People compliment how good the 240z sounds and looks. Gas mileage is good. Vehicle is fully tuned with fresh oil. oil filter. spark plugs. spark plugs wires and very tiddy engine bay.  Doesn't burn oil.

Engine:  Rebuilt L28 with very low miles

Engine is very strong with a quick response. Engine was torn down for inspection. Engine is a crated rebuilt engine from Bonded Motors. Los Angeles which is no longer in business. Engine does not smoke. does not burn oil. all spark plugs are oil free and engine bay refreshed. Engine has very low mileage and will last you a very long time is maintained correctly. Vehicle is fully tuned with fresh oil. filters. NGK spark plugs. bosch wires and cleaned engine bay. Never over heats. while idling or driving.  

 Engine bay/Engine block:

-Engine bay all refreshed

-Engine fully tuned up

-Fresh oil and oil filter

-New fuel hoses

-New Nissan water hoses around engine block

-New Vacuum hoses

Transmission:

-5 speed shifts very nice

Clutch:

-Works well. no noises.

-Soft pedal

-Shifts nicely on all gears

-No issues to report

Brakes:(01/2012)

-Remanufactured Calipers

-New rear drums and hardware with new shoes

-New rear brake clinders

-New front and rear brakes hoses

-Brakes adjusted

-Clean brake fluid

Differential:

-No noises or issues to report.

Exhaust:

-Nichira Japanese muffler

- Stock exhaust in very nice shape  

Suspension:

-Appear to be in great shape appears previous owner did some tie rod repairs.

-Shocks appear to have been replaced no very long ago

Electrical/Distributor:

-Appears unmolested and in very nice shape

-Distributor new points and condenser

-New battery

-New battery cables

-New triple tested alternator(warranty)

-New voltage regulator

-Remanufactured starter

-Alternator Charging

-All engine bay connections clean

Gauges:

-All gauges work and light up.

-Clock does not work

Cooling Radiator/Water Outlets:

-Radiator flushed at radiator shop

-New fresh coolant

-All new Nissan hoses around engine block

-Heater core hoses in good condition

Interior:

-Interior in great shape for being 41 years some areas faded(Butterscotch Color)

-All interior parts removed and cleaned

-Some plastic panels show minor cracks/chips due to age  

-Door panels in great shape only removed to repaint vehicle(small tear on drive door)

-Seats are original and in very nice shape never reupholstered(normnal wear)

-Center console has no cracks(refurbished)

-Diamond vinyl looks great minor nicks and stains

-Headliner has one tare

-Nice carpet

-New shifter boot

-New e-brake boot

-New Nissan Walnut shifter knob

-Dash in nice shape aside of 3 cracks that were patched

-New door weather seals

-New hatch seals

-New Nissan door pullers with gorment

-New Nissan passenger assist handle

- The body is very straight with minor dings

- All new Nissan exterior emblems all around

- New chromed door handles and polished door locks

- All stainless steel polished

- Refurbished turn signals

- New aftermarket antenna

- All exterior lights work

- All new sidemarker light seals

- Grill refinished with new hardware

- Brake lights near mint

- Polished slotted mag rims size 14nwith like new tires

- Polished door locks with new seals

- Door mechanism lubed

- Re-chromed Bumpers European Style

Bumpers:

-Front and rear re-chromed bumper European style

-Bumper chrome has warranty for 1 year ask for receipt

 
 Windows/Glass:

-All original glass and in very nice shape

 Weather Seals & Rubber:

-New door seals

-New fender to door seals

-New window channel seals

-New Cowl seal

-New inner and outer hatch seals

-New Windshield and rear hatch outer gasket

HVAC:

-Originally came with factory AC but compressor was removed what I believe was during the L28 engine swap. AC interior control unit all complete inside all you will need compressor and condenser. I will include the compressor upon request.

 -Heat works

Sound System:

-Audiovox stereo period correct (manual included).

-Decent sound nothing amazing.

Tires & Wheels:

- Polished Slotted Mags Wheels 14x7 all around directly bought from Nissan see purchase order.

- LIKE NEW Remington Tires 185/75/14(tires still have little tiny plastic hairs on the side)

Spare Tire and Tools:

-Spare tire

-Original jack. wheel chucks and tools.

Undercarriage:

-Fresh undercoat around wheel wells

-Fresh undercoat underside

Glove Box:

-Opens and closes(sticks at times)

-Original owners manual

-Original picture brochure

-Interior headliner has a slash

-Interior side panels have minor chips due to age

-Ignition switch sticks at times does not affect ignition

-Minor paint imperfections
