"1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z28 with rare factory code option A4U.

This car is a Canadian Players Challenge Car or as shown on build sheet "A4U Can Race". Car has had race history and is in amazing condition for a raced car. Was raced by John Cattle #85 in Calgary Alberta for the '87 western Players series. Only 53 camaro's in 1987 were built for this series and how many are left being built for racing!! The cars were pulled from the line on April 6th 1987 in Norwood Ohio and a balanced and blueprinted factory sealed motor was installed- all supposingly matched motors for the series. Car was delivered new to Carter Chevrolet for the race series back in '87. Raced for 1 season and sold to the original 1st owner in 1989 and driven on the streets. I purchased the car in 2011 and restored it to what you see. Car has been fully restored with original Davenport roll cage purchased from John Cattle in 2011. Original numbers matching motor. Drives terrific and gets lots of looks. Included in some of the pictures are the original build sheet. GM Vintage Vehicle Services sheet showing its rarity. a few older pics of the car when it was raced. Will also include a binder with all the original Players series race sign in sheets that have not been filled out yet. Car is clean Alberta registration (title). Showing approx 37. 00kms on odometer but not guaranteed accurate. "

The car has approx 39500km on it ( which is 26000 miles ) as of today Nov 4th 2016

The players challenge series was a "showroom stock" series that was partnered with GM to promote a "equal" race program.   Was very suscessful over its run 1986 to 1992.

The car drives amazing  tight and clean.
