1960 Austin Healey 3000 Mark 1 BN7 rare two-seater-Hear it roar! Video drive!

I am quite passionate about two-seat big Healeys. They are IMHO the best looking of all the 3000s. without the less than attractive 2+2 back seats! So here is a BN7 two- seater for sale. This is a rare car. and the one to own! 
Of the 13. 50 3000 Mark 1 big Healeys produced. just 2. 25 were two seaters like this one. The rest were 2+2. That's why the two-seaters command a premium. They're rare! In this case. I have set a very reasonable reserve. which will allow someone to own this wonderful car for far less than what you would normally pay for a 3000. so give a look!  And listen to the engine in the video below! Nothing roars like a big Healey!



This particular car was extensively restored in Georgia during the last 5 years. Everything was apart. and completely rebuilt.
The restorer did a particularly impressive job restoring the underside (see photos). There is no rust. The structure is excellent. Outriggers. rockers. floor pans. and trunk floor are all excellent. Muffler is older. but it doesn't leak and sounds great.
He also rebuilt the engine. It runs strong as you can hear in the video. and has great oil pressure and does not smoke. He added a spin on oil filter conversion. a very nice upgrade when it comes to service.
He rebuilt the front end. It's tight. and the car drives beautifully. Tires are nearly new.
Recently. this car had a complete transmission and overdrive rebuild. It shifts beautifully. and overdrive works flawlessly. That work was done by one of the best. and he will guarantees his work. so no worries there. This transmission restoration alone was about $3500.  
Also recently fit was a new windshield. and new front bumper.
The interior was completely redone. The dashboard is very good. The gauges all work. except the fuel gauge. It could be as simple as a bad ground. The sender is also easy to access on these. we haven't had time yet to investigate but we can fix this for the new owner if they like.
The car has an excellent new top and good side curtains. with an older tonneau.
The only downgrade for this car is the finish bodywork. The structure underneath is excellent with no rust. The paint job is a bit amateur. The painter used a metallic silver and it didn't flow properly. so there are some highlights and variations in the paint. It's hard to photograph. and the car looks great. but upon close inspection you can see the paint is not show quality.  
Still. the silver with black coves is quite striking on this car. set off with a nice red pin stripe that coordinates with the interior. The car presents beautifully. and for the money. you won't be able to touch a rust free big Healey especially a BN7 with so many new parts.  
This is a perfect car for anyone looking to enjoy a 3000 without worrying about perfect cosmetics. Drive this car and enjoy it. or do a respray to take this rare car to the next level. Either way. an investment in a two-seat Healey is the best money you can spend!

Forgot to mention but you probably know. this car has front disk brakes. like all BN7s. Also. the car was upgraded with a high torque starter. which brings the car to life with authority! And finally. the box in the trunk contains the original canister oil filter assembly. which was removed in favor of the more convenient spin-on oil filter upgrade.
