VW Beach Buggy GP Mk1 SWB

I bought this buggy as a complete restoration last year.   the floor and body were separated and stored in a garage.   The previous owner had new floors welded and then let 5 years pass without doing anyting else.   When I got it I knew it wasnt going to be a straight forward put back togther.   I had a budget to work with and as you all know that never goes to plan. so I went over but this means that 90% of this build has used brand new parts.   The nody is an original GP Mk1 SWB which are very sort after.   The build went pretty well considering virtually everything was new.   I also have a pbhoto profile from start to finish inc all bills and receipts. There is nothing to do to this buggy. it is raedy to go.   It has been driven locally and on the motorway without any problems what so ever and turns heads  where ever it goes.   this project actually turned ourt better than what I expected it to. compliments all round wherever it taken.

Here is a brief spec:

Body: Fully sprayed but being an old body it has a few cracks in the normal places. nothing major just cosmetic.

Chasis: Fulyl undersealed with strenghener bars welded to the underside.

Brand new brakle pipes all round.

New front beam with new spindles. new shocks. new calipers. discs. pads and ebarings with lowering adjusters. new petrol tank. poly bushes all round. new rear brakes. shocks. bearings. new master cylinder and all new cables.

Banded 15" wheels. 6" front and 12" rears. fully chromed with brand new tyres. now used.

Engine: Fully dressed uop 1300cc twin port from 1972 1302 with 009 distributor. new carb. custom exhaust - sounds awesome.

LED rear lights. all brand new switches. complete re-wire. awesome sound system with woofer. components. amps. and remote control stereo in a custom made enclosure.   Strobe lights. mercedes SL leather seats.

No weather gear
