MINI ROADSTER 1275 TURBO WITH REMOVABLE HARD TOP

Custom Built Mini Turbo Roadster in Azure Blue:

This eye catching mini roadster has been adapted to a high standard to provide mini enthusiasts with a unique driving experience.

I used the mini for advertising my mini business in 2011 and the car has been dry stored since then. The car has a few minor marks however it remains in very good condition. This car is a real head turner and will provide many hours of enjoyment for its new owner.

Mechanical:

Engine rebuild incl: MG metro turbo engine + gearbox + all ancillaries (incl: block rebore. main bearings. crank reground. big end bearings. piston rings. head decoked + polished + ported. turbo reconditioned. oil cooler. all seals + gaskets + hoses + brackets

Gear box rebuild incl: Idler gear. all gaskets

Mg Turbo running gear + complete brake system incl: Brake discs + pads

Reconditioned 4 pod callipers

Braided hoses

Rear brakes rebuilt

Exhaust: Full custom Playmini stainless twin exit exhaust

Interior:

Mamba Race bucket seats + runners and harnesses. full carpet and underlay set. boot liner kit. over mat set. custom dash + clock set. chrome gear knob and handbrake cover. interior door furniture. custom stainless door cards

Exterior:

Shell: Vehicle inspected for corrosion then prepared for total respray inside and out including: 1 coat etch primer. 1 coat plastic primer. 2 coats highbuild filler primer. 2 coats Ford Azure blue. 3 coats clear lacquer.

Wheels: Starmag wheels + tyre package and locking wheel nuts

Additions: Chrome handle set. rear light clear lens kit. front halogen bulb conversion. front indicator clear conversion. Aston Chrome fuel cap. rear chrome number plate lights. custom front cooper grill. chrome wiper kit. side skirt extensions. M3 style door mirrors.

Custom Fabrication (how it was done):

100mm x 2mm box section steel welded along n/s + o/s inner sills continued up n/s + o/s inner ‘A' panels. n/s + o/s inner B posts and across rear seat swab. Same steel but curved. to replace bottom dash rail.

50mm x 2mm box section steel welded between tops of inner ‘A' panel sections to replace top dash rail

Avonbar front bulkhead cross member turbo insert elongated and welded in place

25mm x 25mm x 1. 5mm box section steel used to fabricate/strengthen + reinforce front lower subframe to top inner arch anchor points.

Remove roof from top of ‘A' posts. mid ‘B' + ‘C' posts. Use this to make rear cover from behind front seat area to ‘C' post/top of boot enclosure. Weld section in place using 1mm steel sections.

Remove roof from donor car and fabricate 2 seater/ roaster removable hard top roof. Weld 50mm tubing between inner rear uprights for rigidity and strength.

Bodykit + Fibreglass Front End:

Autofashions bodykit trimmed. screwed + riveted in place whilst fibreglass dried. All heads counter sunk +/or removed. Fully blended kit into bodywork.

Detailed receipts for all works carried out are available for inspection.  

This really is a superb mini in excellent condition and the new owner will not be disappointed. Car will be sold as seen with 12 months MOT.
