1966 Ford Ranchero for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.25) based on 185 votes
Offered for sale is a 1966 Ford Ranchero.  A starting bid of $1966. and a fair reserve price.  From what I could figure out. less than 2000 were made that year.  1966 is the last year for the Ranchero to use Falcon sheet metal.   Starting in 1967. it used the Fairlane front end.   This car is equipped with a great sounding 302 V-8 that has headers and Flowmaster mufflers. and has a C-4 three speed automatic transmission.  It has a big aluminum radiator with electric cooling fans. The fuel tank is located under the rear of the bed. with an access panel for refilling under the tonneau cover. It also has an electric fuel pump.   The dash is basically stock. with an added set of gauges. a B+M Ratchet shifter. and racing bucket seats.  Cobra "R" style wheels and Goodyear tires. Not a lot of other options. it still has manual 4 wheel drum brakes and manual steering that is surprisingly easy to turn.   In my opinion. the brakes should be converted to at least front disc brakes. and the steering is easy so no real need to add power steering.  It has working wipers and lights. turn signals and brake lights. and updated headlights.
The Good:  It's a rare car that sounds awesome. It drives well. shifts well. and steers and stops well.   It has great oil pressure and doesn't overheat.   Even though the paint isn't professional. it looks good.   The photos were all taken yesterday (October 26th). except for the engine picture and two in the grass.  Nothing has changed except for the air cleaner.   It now has a chrome round one. It has a very solid bed and a pretty solid body. It has a fiberglass lift off hood. The original hood had some rust on the edge and the previous owner couldn't find an aftermarket metal hood. so he went that route. The glass is good and the bed cover fits well.
The Bad: I got the car in a trade. so I don't know a whole lot about it. I've only driven it a few times. have only washed it once. and it's pretty much been sitting since I got it. It's a great start for someone to begin building something cool.   I'm not a fan of the color combination. the wheels. or the seats.   It's nothing I want to build. and nothing I need.
The car should go to someone who loves these and wants to go further with it.   I'm not a Ranchero fan to begin with. and generally not even a Ford fan.  Obviously. I can't give it away. but would like to sell or trade the car to someone who needs it in their life. So with that said. I'm open to offers.   I'm open to trades.   I prefer to sell it outright. but I know trading sometimes works best for people. Please send photos and info on what you're offering me. If you don't live locally. it makes it hard.   Not impossible. just hard.   Cash works best. but if you have something that you think I can't live without. show me what it is.   Old GM cars preferred. but I'm not against anything of equal value. I'm not against a 50-60's station wagon or a 60's van. I don't really need a motorcycle. but not against it either. NO BOATS.   Nothing rusty. except for a cool Rat Rod.   I could also take a cool project that needs an interior or an engine.   You get the point. it could be virtually anything of equal value or something that really interests me.   No hard feelings if I don't want what you're offering.
The Ranchero is located in Port Charlotte. Florida. about 90 miles south of Tampa.   I can sell it to anyone worldwide. and can help with shipping that you have arranged and paid for. Clean. clear title in hand that is ready to hand off to the new owner.   I reserve the right to end the auction early in the event someone makes me a deal I can't pass up.   Feel free to contact me through eBay. or text/call me at 941-740-22 77.   Texts preferred over calls. but calls possible as my schedule permits.
