A vintage pickup like this 1965 Ford F-100 is always appealing. It's an affordable way to have something distinctive on the classics scene. and because it also has a 302 V8 under the hood. this F-Series can still do a hard day's work if called to duty.



Because this one doesn't show a lifetime of working 9 to 5. you can really see the nice intricate sheetmetal that came on these fourth generation F-Series trucks. Ford did an amazing job in '65 with a bright chrome grille. little fender flare in the front. power dome hood. and a sweeping line of brightwork that runs from the front all the way down through the styleside bed. Painted a deep black with a modern clerarcoat and plenty of metallic flake. this has stellar appearance when the sunlight hits it. Plus there's bright bedrails. bold red I-beam badging. side pipe exhaust. and iconic Crager chrome SS wheels. So is this a pickup. or a custom street rod? Well considering that steel truck bed is ready for a Home Deport Run. we'd say this truck looks like it's always ready for work AND play.



Open the door and you'll find a bench seat covered in a cool red and black pattern that helps set the mood for the entire interior. The lower door panels and rubber floor are a nice black that doesn't really show dirt. and the dash is given a nice glossy black touch. It has all the great vintage features like the original AM/FM radio and heat/defrost dials. You get the classic Ford stylized steering wheel and clear original speedometer package. There's also a set of auxiliary gauges. which are an indication that you probably will really enjoy what's in the engine bay.



Under the hood is Ford's famous 302 cubic-inch V8. There's been some investment in this motor. and you can instantly tell by how the big blue block radiated from inside the black engine bay. Plus we all love the bright air cleaner and valve covers. More importantly. the motor delivers a good wallop of low-end torque with a crisp V8 burble from the glasspack style exhaust. While this is good for the sporty attitude. the practical side will love the tidy wires. belts. and hoses that indicate there has been good maintenance. too. After all. the 302 has plenty of torque to haul your toys. too. No matter how you decide to use this pickup. you'll enjoy features like the three-speed automatic transmission. comfortable but sturdy twin I-beam front suspensions. and the superior grip of modern radial tires.
