Tributes and clones are a great way to get into a super dream car for a much smaller price. and this 1966 Mustang Shelby GT350 fastback tribute certainly does it correctly. It has a long list of upgrades and the right look to make everyone at the local show do double-take when it rolls in.


A Shelby-built GT350 will cost a fortune. They've got a following of enthusiasts who know what it takes to have a true snake-bitten Mustang. That's why it's worth extra for a nice tribute like this that gets the details right. There's just no mistaking the original GT350 appearance. It starts with taking one of the rarest and often most valuable of the three Mustang configurations. the 2+2 fastback. and making it even better looking. This one was fully restored to include a professional application of Wimbledon White paint. Plus. the blue competition stripes give it the presence that made Shelby Mustangs an icon from day one. and told the world this is a true American racer. Make sure to add the correct GT hood scoop. and a custom front bumper with vent. just like the "R" racing versions had. This is a 1966 model. so side vents are needed. too. Also make sure the details are right. like the Shelby Cragar wheels. So yes. you're looking at one well-sorted tribute machine.


The blue interior is clean and pristine. including the seat covers. door panels. carpets. and dash pad. The blue bucket seats have an upgrade to nice comfortable cloth insets. and there is a (easily removable) center console with modern cup holders for extra comfort. Speaking of more modern amenities. the retrosound AM/FM radio looks authentic with its knob-style appearance. but it's a much more modern setup with a digital tuner and auxiliary input for your iPod. The driver also gets upgrades like the Shelby-style three-spoke wood rimmed steering wheel with Cobra center cap. Beyond that is the full round gauge package that's a hallmark upgrade in '66.


Under the hood is 289 cubic-inch V8 that's dressed to impress the Shelby crowd. It has the Cobra air cleaner. Cobra valve covers. and extra bracing in the engine bay. Below that. the big blue block on this C-code Mustang also has been upgraded to a four-barrel carburetor. The extra bite from this reliable powerplant means it still fires up easily and offers some added growl out of the dual exhaust. On the road you've got the comfort of a C4 three-speed automatic transmission. Plus. this one has the surefootedness of modern 17-inch sport tires on those classic Shelby wheels.


Complete with the original Mustang owner's manual. and plenty of Shelby memorabilia. this is a fitting tribute to a true icon. We file all the necessary documents for export. deliver the car to a US port. secure it in containers and board an ocean carrier. We can land a vehicle to any port worldwide handling container traffic. We export cars regularly and are familiar with export requirements.
