1960 Cadillac DeVille

For sale - a low mile. barn find survivor!  This 1960 Cadillac was part of an estate of a Cadillac collector who specifically collected 1959 and 1960 Cadillacs during the 60's. Documentation from the second owner shows she purchased the car in 1964 with 14. 00 miles on the car. and the last documented mileage was 30. 85 in 1973.   She parked the car in the late 70's with 30. 21 miles on the odometer.

The car has been in storage since the 70's. and was pulled out of long term storage in 2004 when the estate was sold off and has been in storage ever since.   Photos were taken of the car in the fall of 2013. and I have taken some interior and exterior photos of the car now as it sits in storage within the last month.

The car appears to be unmolested and complete.   Within the original documentation that comes with the car. there is evidence that the car has had some body work done to the front end due a small collision that occurred in the early 70's.   Service receipts from the collision work and other maintenance that was done to the car in the 60's and 70's will be included.   The interior is in great shape and is ready for a full detail.   The dash does not have any cracks and the seats have no major tears or wear. and both door panels are in amazing condition.   All glass is in great condition with the exception of the driver's side door.   Front factory floor mats are included with the car.   The only option this deVille appears to have is Guidematic. otherwise it has all the other standard features - power windows. and a two-way power seat.   No A/C. cruise. or level ride to slow down the restoration.  

The body is solid for a 30k car from Iowa.   There is some surface rust along the passenger side rear fin. and some surface rust on the roof above the drivers door.   Both surface rust spots appear to have been from a leaky roof of a previous storage facility.   The under carriage of the car is solid.   This car is a fantastic candidate for a full restoration. or perfect for enjoying the patina of a car that has survived many decades in storage.

I have not done any work to the car. nor have I tested anything. therefore it is being sold AS-IS.   I have a clear Iowa title for the car.   Barn find. low mileage Cadillacs like this deVille are getting harder and harder to come by. so don't let this opportunity pass!
