This Jensen Interceptor is a sporting GT-class car that was hand-built during 1974 at the Kelvin Way Factory. Birmingham. England by Jensen Motors.  There were a total of only 509 Convertible models produced (a mere 52 with copper-brown paint).   All Interceptors share bespoke British craftsmanship in design and interior detail.  with the addition of  reliable American power.   Specifically. this series of cars was originally  fitted with  Chrysler's potent 440 cubic inch (7. 2 liter) engine with a substantial 325 HP rating! It has a TorqueFlite transmission and. with a curb weight of only 3500 pounds. the car is both luxurious and fast.

The Convertible is known to many as the most glamorous and prestigious model in the line of Interceptor variants. At the time of its release in 1974. the Convertible epitomized the highest standards reached by the car-maker.  Its reputation as the “top model” has not diminished with time. Original Copper Brown paint with some cracking on the hood.  

In short. this vehicle has the pedigree of  very limited production.  now viewed as being very collectible. especially after being featured in Fast and Furious 6. This is a very original car. correct wheel. interior. matching enginea; it is extremely difficult to find an original exemplar that is so well preserved!!  This Interceptor III Convertible has only 64. 87 original miles.  Such low miles. and its unique attributes. make this vehicle incomparable to any other available for purchase at this time.

The exterior is finished in the original “copper brown” and is complemented by a matching tan interior with sheepskin inserts (for hot California days). This color combination is stunning and absolutely beautiful!

The Jensen Interceptor -- This Interceptor has a steel body-shell designed by an outside firm. Carrozzeria Touring of Italy.  The early bodies were Italian-built. by Vignale. before production by Jensen themselves began – with subtle body modifications – in West Bromwich.
