Not a trailer queen. This is a very good driver that also shows very well. It is period correct though modified/upgraded to make a better driving experience. I am an auto restorer by trade and this is my personal vehicle for the past 28 years. It doesn't get the attention to detail it should. but I suspect that if I had the time to prep the car it would do very well at any AZ or CA auction house. This sale is a victim of a divorce and someone's chance to buy the mechanics car. The engine was rebuilt about 15. 00 miles ago to M spefications. 110 horse power. 1 3/4" H4 SU carbs w/3' ram stacks. Isky T3 cam. so called high compression pistons. Engine was blue printed and balanced. The front drum brakes were replaced with period disc brakes. rear drums are stock. The rear shocks were replaced with adjustable tube shocks. The Overdrive works perfectly and was upgraded to 28% reduction ratio. The rear (differentail) was upgraded to the correct for that axle spiral bevel gear with a 3. 6667:1 ratio. The so called LeMans rear. Tires are less than 1000 miles old (<1yr). Seats are leather and the carpet is wool. The weather gear is all present and very servicable for a few more years. The boot and rear bulkhead are properly covered with Armacord. Instruments are all functional. the the speedo is a little optimistic. ;~) 5-6 MPH. Wheels are 60 spoke and painted with Imron and about 4 years since rebuilding. 1 broken spoke on a rear. bright work is all in very good condition. Electrics are also in good repair. Trafficator switch works and cancels. Horns are original and operate as expected. The windshield folds as designed. The glass is old. but fine for all but concours showing types. my only complaint is that the pressure plate will sometimes engage faster than the pedal releases. resulting in chirping the tires from a stop (only from a stop). If it was a customers car. it would have been address when it first happened. I'm a mechanic and it doesn't bug me. The exhaust system is stainless and seems as good as when it was intalled. A radiator over flow bottle was added. From a Fiat 124 if you must know. The battery is likely 3 years old but the upgraded gear reduction starter easily spins the engine over. Side marker lenses are original glass variety. Lucas flame thrower driving lamps are fully functional. What else can I say. It's a hellava nice car- 2 footer or better and heartbreaking to see it sold off. email for any details. Applicable sales taxes not included in sale price. Sold as is. Clear NM title.
