I have the opportunity to purchase a Porsche 993 turbo. So. nbsp;to fund the purchase I have decided to sell my beloved 951. I have a long history with 944 turbos and have owned about 10 different ones. Although I have bought and sold many Porsches over the years. this car has always had a special place in my heart. I purchased it bone stock back in 2000 with the intentions of building it into exactly what you see. When I purchased the car. It had a reconstructed title due to a minor rear end collision that occurred back in 1989. Although the damage was minor. I am assuming the car was issued the branded title because of the car only being a few years old when the damage occurred. It did not bother me since the car was a clean low mileage example and I planned modifying it. If the title bothers you. this probably isn't the car for you. However. the car speaks for itself. It is not perfect. but it is probably the coolest Porsche 951 on the market. In fact. I would say it is the most bad ass 944 turbo in the country. As you can see. a lot of big money parts went into the built. This definitely isn't your typical 951!
The exterior modifications completely transformed the look of the car! The Broadfoot Racing widebody flares give the car a very aggressive stance and are similar to the wildly popular ones found on the RWB (Rau Welt Begriff) 911 cars. Everywhere I take the car. someone asks if it "is an RWB 944".   I also added the Deutsch Nine GTS headlight kit which eliminates the factory pop-up lights. The fixed bucket and lexan covers compliment the motorsports theme look similiar to the factory 924 Carrera GTS headlights. They also save a lot of weight and clean up the engine bay by eliminating the factory headlight motor and lift bar. Sticking with the motorsports theme. I installed a carbon fiber adjustable 968 Turbo RS rear wing from Van Zweeden! The wing is probably one of my favorite exterior modifications on the car. 968 Mirrors and door handles give the 944 a much modern look. I sourced a factory euro rear bumper to clean up the rear of the car and shave some additional weight. Up front. I added clear turn signals. factory European fog lights. and an AIR front spoiler with a custom carbon fiber splitter.  To make the car handle as good as it looks. it rides on custom brushed finish Fikse FM10 wheels. 18x10. 5 up front and 18x12. 5 rear. Wrapped in Toyo R888 tires all around. Suspension is fully adjustable with Bilstein Firehawk Cup stainless coil overs. I just installed Zimmermann crossdrilled rotors. Braided stainless lines. and Hawk HPS+ brake pads all around.   The car sticks like glue in the turns and will stop on a dime.
Pop the hood. you can see its not exactly stock! The OEM engine harness. DME and KLR computers where completely removed and replaced with a SDS stand alone engine management. This gives you total control of the fuel and ignition values based on RPM and manifold pressure. It is much more advanced than the typical "chipped" and MAF setup used on most 951's yet it doesn't require a laptop to adjust the tune. It has its own hand held programmer which can be adjusted on the fly . The SDS also eliminates the factory distributor ignition and uses a hall sensor trigger and individual coil packs. Fuel is delivered through a billet Lindsey Racing fuel rail into PTE 850cc injectors and regulated with an Aeromotive FPR.   Stock turbo was upgraded with a larger Turbonetics T60-1 Hi-Fi turbocharger. Boost is regulated with a Tial wastegate and controlled by a World Racing EBC-1 boost controller. The controller is very advanced but user friendly. You can set 6 different boost levels which can be selected with a simple push of a button. It also has the ability to control boost by gear for increased traction.  The exhaust exits the turbo through a stainless Lindsey Racing 3" downpipe which transitions into a full 4" from the downpipe back.    A Greddy Type S blow off valve is mounted on custom intercooler hard pipes which feed through a 65mm throttle body into the Speed Force Racing short runner intake manifold. The Cylinder head is mildly ported and polished and sits atop a Widefire headgasket and secured with ARP head studs to handle increased boost levels. New waterpump. timing belt. balance shaft belt. rollers etc. are all fresh.   I just installed a lightweight Odyssey battery and billet Rennline battery mount as well.
The motorsport theme continues inside the car with Porsche GT3 style seats with embossed Porsche crest in the headrest. They are a fixed back race seats but are very comfortable and adjustable on factory Porsche sliders to accomodate different height drivers. I am 6'2" tall and fit with room to spare. Corbeau cam lock harness attach to the color matched Autopower roll bar. I installed a Deutsche 9 RS rear seat delete kit to shave some additional weight and a Momo Race line steering wheel with a custom leather embossed Porsche crest horn button.   The carbon fiber dash trim. shift knob. red stitch leather shift boot. aluminum pedals and embroidered Lloyds Ultimat front floor mats and cargo mat really bring the interior up to date. Custom gauges monitor all  the vital engine functions including Boost. Oil pressure. Coolant temp. Voltage. and Air fuel ratio.
There are a few issues that should be expected for a 30 year old car but i don't want any surprises for the buyer. There are a few dings and chips here and there. The drivers door has a few dings but I have a spare red door that i will include with the car. 944's are known for dash cracks and the dash has a couple. I took pictures to try to show them. There is currently no radio installed but can easily put back in. I will include the factory cassette player if the buyer wants it.   Personally I never felt the need to put a radio back in and would rather listen to the exhaust. The AC blows cool but can probably need a charge. I pretty much just finished the car and since installing the engine management. the speedometer and dash lights aren't working. Not sure if the Speedo runs through the factory computer or not but I havent had time to troubleshoot it. Trying to mention anything I can think or no matter how minor so you can be confident there are no surprises. . The car is not perfect but for a 30 year old car. I think it speaks for itself.  Please ask any questions before bidding and only do so if you have the funds and are ready to complete the purchase. .
