I am reluctantly selling my 1966 VC Safari Wagon.   I am just not in a position to get it back on the road at the moment and I would rather the car went to someone who would enjoy it.   Please read the following carefully and look at the pictures - I can send any potential buyers as many pictures as they would like but please don't bid and then come around to decide if you want to buy.

This is a very honest VC and a great base for a full on restoration or a great road car.   It is Spanish Red with Maple Gold dash and door tops - it really its a great colour combination. with two tone brown seats - back is perfect and door trims are good but it needs the front seat re done.   It is a base model slant 6 with three speed manual.   Drum brakes.

I got the car as it was very solid with minimal rust.   It has a few spot on each dog leg and there is a section on the passenger quarter panel that I have cut out as there was a poor repair there and they did not replace the bung on the inner wall.   This is an easy replacement panel section and I have left it as it is so you can see exactly what is there.   The tailgate had a couple of spots but I have cut this section out and welded in a new section and it is undercoated as in pictures.

If you look at the wheel well you will see that the basic structure of the car is very sound.   The plenum chamber are good as is the chassis and floor.   The bloke I got it off had already done a lot of the underneath work and it has new shocks and generally looks really good underneath.

The driver side doors had a scrape down them that had been filled and I have changes these and the doors on are undercoated.   They have not been painted internally as I have only hung them to make sure they were all levelled up. before I was going to take them back off and paint the inner sides and the door apertures.

Everything for the car is there as well as things like 2 sets of wind deflectors.   A two barrel manifold. heaps of armrests. a spare grill and a couple of boxes of other stuff as well as the original doors.

It really is a great base for a valiant enthusiast.   I would really prefer that is goes to someone that appreciates these cars.   To my mind the VC Safari's are the best looking wagons and this car would look fantastic sprayed in its original colour.   The following ling shows the engine running.

Note. the bonnet is cactus.   It has been twisted at this point and I made the decision early to just get a better one than to try and fix.

Your best bet is to send me a message and I will give you my number to talk about the car.   I am more interested in working with someone that knows what they are doing than to sell it to someone who has no idea.   The info above is aimed to give someone who knows the cars a staring point for further discussion so you can be completely clear on what you are looking at.
