This car has a production date of Sept. 16. 1994 and was originally sold through Autohaus Lancaster in Lancaster. PA on Oct. 20. 1994.
It was owned by a family who serviced it at Knopf Automotive in Allentown. PA for the following 13 years until it was sold to a private owner in NJ in August of 2007 with 60. 50 miles on it. The new owner was a Porsche mechanic who rarely drove the vehicle and kept paper receipts of the parts he installed during regular maintenance. Life changes made him put it up for sale and I purchased the car in May of 2008 with just 63. 50 miles on the clock.
I'm the third owner and have every service record for the vehicle- dating back to the original window sticker from the purchase in Lancaster. PA. Any Porsche folks will know how rare this is to find for a 22 year old vehicle. I've kept every service record and receipt organized in a binder that will come with the car. I also have the original owner's manuals and leather case they came in. which will come with the car.

The car served as my daily driver for two years. during which I put an additional ~24k miles on the car without any major issues.  The car has never been in any major accidents throughout its life and has a clean CarFax report. Of course there is no lien on the vehicle and I have the title in hand ready to go.
Please take the time to read the description in full and be sure to ask me any questions if you're interested in owning her! The vehicle is in the DC/MD/VA area. but I'm willing to work with a buyer on shipping after payment is made in full.

The "OEM+" BitsUpgraded wheels (detailed below)Upgraded stock air boxBroadfoot Racing cat-back stainless race exhaust ($800 value. just passed Maryland emissions last week)Rear hatch trim and spoiler color-matched to body
GeneralEngine & drivetrain are strong. car starts without hesitation and runs well. The intake and exhaust combination make a mean engine grumble that turns heads.  A/C blows strong and coldDespite being an east coast car. it is 100% rust freeAll trouble mechanical areas (headlights. sunroof. rear differential) function without issuesClutch has some chatter and audible noise when shifting through lower gears. but doesn't affect performanceCar will come with two main keys as well as two valet keys
Original owner's manuals and Porsche embossed leather case includedPorsche factory Service Information Technik manual (only issued to students of Porsche Service Training Center) included
InteriorLeather & dash are extremely clean with no broken plastic. rips. stains. or tearsTop of dash is starting to show some minor cracks from sun wear. nothing majorThe brackets holding the driver/passenger sun visors and rear view mirror seem to have broken off (I have the rear view mirror and one of the visors)I replaced the OEM radio with an "O-car" unit six years ago. I still have the original Porsche factory radio (with Anti-Theft code) which will come with the carThe bracket for the passenger side glove box has come loose so the glove box door opens all the way on its hinge (doesn't affect functionality)
Wheels & BrakesUpgraded to new OEM 17" Porsche Boxster Twist wheelsBrand new brake job was performed 45 miles ago (pads. rotors. sensors - a $2k job)Good tires all around (245/40ZR17 fronts. 275/40ZR17 rears) and the new buyer should have NO problem driving this vehicle home from purchase
ExteriorAll front and rear lights function except the front driver's side fog lamp. which is crackedThe paint is the car's weak point. as some panels have started to show oxidation. You can still see signs of the true red paint under all the panels. The black bits you see directly behind the front wheel wells are actually stone guard decals which have become dirty over the years and can easily be removed. There is a crease on the front driver's side fender and slight creasing on the hood that I detailed in the photos. These imperfections look minor and should be able to be restored with paintless dent removal techniques. I included photos of the dent. worst paint (hood/sunroof) and the best paint (driver's side rear quarter) at the end of the listing photos. I can provide more upon request but highly recommend a potential buyer see the car in person. From what I understand. the slight oxidation is common because the Guards Red cars did not receive a clear coat from the factory and it is just one detail job away from looking like new.
ElectronicsThe tachometer. oil pressure. voltage. and engine temp all work but the speedometer. odometer. and cluster backlight have stopped workingThe mileage is true and I have put on 53 miles since I noticed the odometer stopped moving at 87. 81The check engine light and anti-lock brake lights are on although the last shop who changed the brakes and fluids said they couldn't find any reason for them to be trippedThe front and rear wipers are not working properly. not sure if a fuse or motor issue so for now I disconnected the rear wiper motorBrand new Duralast Gold battery installed last week ($190 value. two-year warranty from Auto Zone). I am keeping the terminals disconnected while the car is parked until all of the aforementioned electrical issues can be figured out to avoid any phantom drains while parked
Any other specific questions you have. please ask! I have plenty of other photos I can send but I highly recommend that you come see the vehicle in person if possible. I will be flexible with the buyer (or buyer's agent) in terms of how we arrange for pickup or shipment of the vehicle. which will be 100% at buyer's expense.
