Bentley Eight with a very special CHEAP numberplate

Bentley Eight for sale with a very special CHEAP number plate included in the auction for this car.

History

I personally bought this car a few months ago.   The car had been stood up in London for a number of years without an MOT or Tax and was previously owned by a retired solicitor.  

The last time it had been MOT'ed was on the 5th June 2008 (expiry '09) but with a little time and a lot of effort the car is now back to its former glory (well. it is now back on the road with a full MOT and a years tax).

Service History

The car had a Full Main Dealer history to 83K miles and then around £10. 00 of receipts from the previous owner that used a Rolls Royce and Bentley specialist in London (R. R & B Services) including £3. 00 spent in June 2008 to put it through its MOT just before she was stood up.  

Since getting her back on the road I have driven about 500 miles to make sure any problems come to light and whilst there have been a number of small jobs to be done she runs very well indeed. an absolute pleasure to waft along in.

Jobs done since purchase

Service - Oil and Filter change to both the engine and the gearbox.  

Rocker cover gasket replaced.

Fuel line replaced.

Power steering hose replaced.

Brake hose fix.

A lot of polishing and cleaning.

Jobs Still To Do

The front seats are both ripped and ideally need replacing (quoted £200 per side from a RR&B Spares Dealer)

The paint work is tatty in places and does need some attention.

The flying B has been broken off the front.   I planned to get this repaired and then paint in Black to match the bodywork.

Summary

Overall despite being a great car. the main value I would say is in the CHEAP number plate and this would really suit a newer Rolls Royce. Bentley. Bugatti…. the list goes on.  I will split the car and plate myself if it does not sell but I have been told this takes upto 6 weeks to complete and I do not really have the time to wait.   

The car draws a lot of attention especially with the number plate.   The number of people that have been on my tail and I have noticed them taking photos of the car. it is hilarious.
