Welcome to the sale of my Mercedes 230SL Pagoda 1965
I purchased this car with all intentions of restoring.  Unfortunately the garage/mechanic that I have used previously has relocated. Rather than letting the car sit waiting for me to find a new garage (I have no where to store it) I will give someone else the opportunity to bring this car back to its former glory.
The car runs extremely well. nbsp;properly the best sounding Pagoda I have heard. Auto transmission change smoothly. Brakes and all lights work fine. Power steering is extreme;y light. Carpets in extremely good condition. Blue leather seats retain a great patina. These compliment the white bodywork. Brand new tyres (approx.  40 miles old)
You could get this car on the road with very little work. depending how far you want to get into restoration. The hard top requires most attention. Will require a FULL restoration.  
I will try and list the other things that I have seen that will need work:
Small (approx 25mm) in passengers foot wellA 150-200mm split in boot floorChrome is generally good condition. Some will need re-plating50mm hole in o/s rear pillar of hard top20mm hole in n/s rear pillar of hard topSeveral tears in headliner 50mm maxWooden trim to front and rear windscreens will need replacingVinyl covering to rear of hardtop will need replacingA battery has been placed in the boot. This will need investigating. There is still a battery in engine bay. but disconnected?Rust bubbles to the rear n/s panel. Appears to be only surfaceI have properly miss some more works that will be required. I have been totally honest with the description as I see it. Please come and view the car and decide if it's for you.
The price has been set to reflect the work required. With today's exchange rate you will not be able to import a car from the USA at this price.
