Reluctant Miniclubman estate for sale
sale of this very pretty car due to loss of storage and funds to finish.
I discovered kkm after a call from a friend about a mini in their uncles garage. had to take a look! Found under a blanket of cobwebs and cardboard boxes was this car that hadn't seen the light of day for some 20 years. having been taken off the road for some minor repairs and never finished. kkm was bought and transported to my workshop for rebuilding.
On inspection it was in fine fetal. work i carried out was a strip down and replacement of a flaky rear panel and n/s A panel. the shell then being resprayed in its original flamenco red hue. with the underside cleaned back to bare metal. etched and stone chip protected before painting body colour.
The subframes. front and rear. have been stripped down and shot blasted before repainting and refitting with new suspension components and new rear trailing arms.
The engine and auto gearbox were found to be in good order. reflecting kkm's cosseted life. requiring just a good clean and flush before repainting and polishing and refitting. Interior needed little. a good clean before refitting with a new carpet set.
Work left to do.
New brakes. have the originals but look scabby and having been out of use for such time would want to fit new.
New exhaust required
Repainted and flushed fuel tank needs refitting.
Fuel line and new brake pipes
Happy viewing. a pretty mini that needs a good home

If so,

If the car can be finished as described and with wheel arch chrome trims replaced, I am happy to increase the amount I would pay accordingly. I used to have a 1971 version, same colour etc, so would love this car, which is unadulterated, as many "restored" examples are. We are Based in North Yorkshire, so I would arrange collection. I am not a mechanic, although I maintained my old mini myself, as one did in the 1980's, but lack of time means I would need the work done. If you provide a quotation of what this would cost I would happily increase my offer over and above the asking price accordingly. Thanks
