Lotus Elan SE 1969 DHC Restoration for sale

Lotus Elan Drop Head Coupe 1969 genuine Original type 45 for restoration.

This car was driven in to the garage and has been dry stored for the past 10 years awaiting paintwork after having a new Lotus galvanised chassis . all new calipers. bushes. stainless exhaust. brake lines and more. The car was partly striped down and some of the paint removed in preparation but that's as far as it went.

The engine is an L type thick wall block engine with weber head and carbs.

The body itself is excellent just requiring minor repairs for preparation . The underside of the vehicle is also excellent having been mostly replaced. The dash board and all instruments including the original Colin Chapman steering wheel are all present. The only parts that I can find are missing are the door drop glasses and frames / mechanisms and latches and minor parts etc.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a genuine drop head type 45 which are an appreciating asset .
