Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet

For sale is my 1989 G classic Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet finished in Schwartz Black. with cream half leather interior. the best combination for this vehicle in my opinion.  

The engine has covered 123. 32 miles and is very smooth and responsive with no leaks. The gearbox too is nice and smooth. and the car benefits from a new Sachs clutch fitted last week at a cost of over £1300. The garage broke the speed sender whilst changing the clutch. but this will be replaced before it is sold. or at least supplied.  The cambelt was changed at 99895 and cam chain/pad at 109760. It's had new spark plugs and distributor cap recently fitted. Spare DME supplied. MOTed until Jul 2017. It will probably need a new tyre on the front by then. Comes with a service history file.

The vehicle itself has had some tasteful modifications with Porsche 986 wheels fitted. clear lens indicators and repeaters. and a Porsche RS Sport steering wheel (£400).

The interior is in good condition with no cracks on the dash. All of the electrics. including the clock. windows. fan. seats. work as they should.  I replaced the speedo clocks last year when the gear inside broke. a common issue with these. The original set will be supplied and shows 118590 miles. The seats have been replaced from full leather to half leather with Porsche script. They are loads better. very comfy. and not as hot. The driver's seat bolster has a crack that would need repairing. See photo. The door cards were replaced when the others were damaged by a previous owner fitting speakers in the door. They are dark blue in colour and would need dying black to match the dash. I was going to do this myself as a bottle is £10 on ebay. The car has uprated 7x5 speakers in the doors and standard 6x4 in the back. The head unit is a Blaupunkt Stockholm DAB radio which is amazing. You get all the radio channels you need. CD player. and connects to your phone really easy. so you can listen to your music or use it whilst driving.

The roof is in good condition with no rips. and is fully waterproof! No leaks! It has had a small mod to the relay so that you can operate the roof with the engine running. which is great because in traffic you can just put it back in seconds. It is supplied with the tonneau cover for when it's retracted.

The exterior lets the car down a little. It has had a respray at some point and gives a good shine. but it's in need of some touching up in places. When cleaned and polished it looks presentable but it's not a £15k shelf queen car. I would recommend you view it to satisfy yourself beforehand. I used this as a daily drive in the summer and it never missed a beat. It drove me from Lincoln to Shrewsbury regularly with no issues. It was my second 944. and only selling as I've got a better 944! as you can see in the pictures. It's a great 1st or 2nd modern classic car. and really moving in price now as the turbo model is dragging up prices. The car has not been stolen recovered or subject to a Cat C/D insurance claim.
