This is a great running 1967 Volvo 122S for sale from Sunset Classics. There are some cars that are lucky enough to have an owner that works on them and continually fine tunes them as if they were nurturing a member of their own family. For the past two decades. this car has been blessed with very caring owners. As a result this car runs. handles and responds as if it is giving thanks for all the love and attention it has received. The front and rear weight distribution is nearly even. the car is light relative to horsepower. and the suspension has been lowered by about two inches and fitted with new tires and shocks. So this 1967 Volvo 122S is about as fun to drive as any sports car out there for sale today.

The current owner is quite the classic car enthusiast. The engine. suspension and paint were all nice when the current owner bought the car in 2011. but even so he continued to make improvements. The previous owner had built the car for speed and handling. and the current owner took all of that performance and wrapped it with comfort and street'ability by adding interior insulation and a quieter exhaust system. The car corners very well making in town driving a blast. And the car has overdrive so it really cruises down the highway comfortably making this the perfect touring car.

This '67 Volvo is the sixth car I've listed for the current seller.  The seller is aiming toward owning 100 cars during his lifetime. and since he doesn't own more than one or two vehicles at a time. it's time this Volvo moved on to a new. lucky owner. Even though the car must move on. the seller mentioned this Volvo is tied for first in the "fun-to-drive" category with a 1969 Porsche 912 I sold for him back in 2008!

As detailed as the engine compartment is in this 1967 Volvo 122s. it's more than just impressive to look at. Here are some of the features under the hood:

1974 B20 Engine with cylinders bored to . 120 (the builder went through two blocks to make sure he got the perfect one) Custom JE Aluminum Pistons Cylinders all pressure tested IPD High Volume Oil Pump (oil pressure when warm is 50 PSI) 8 Bolt Crank Shaft Polished and Turned to . 010 Fuel Injected Head Matched to the Block Steel Gears Mild Iske Cam Engine is Completely Balanced 007 Distributor with Pertroni Ignition and MSD 6AL Box SU Carbs with a Full Set of Jets for Adjustments J41 Transmission with Overdrive New Brakes and Wheel Bearings Front and Rear in 2011

As you will see in the photo galleries. this car is very nice. But that said. it is not a show car. The mileage listed is the reading on the odometer but the odometer does not have a 100k place. The mileage on the car since new is likely 113k. The mileage on the engine since rebuild is approximately 2k. There are some small imperfections in the paint. the interior could use the carpet installed (carpet and a trunk load of other parts come with the car). and the bumpers could use re-chroming if you wanted the car to really pop. But if you're looking for a fun "driver". this is a great one.
