I cannot justify having this mini any longer I'm afraid. so she's got to release the space in my garage.

I bought her in December 2009. and it had been in the same family from new. with a genuine 53. 82 miles in 30 years. Since then I have replaced so many components it would take me weeks and frighten me to list. but suffice to say I have spent over £12. 00 on her…. :/

I have included 12 pictures. but there are lots of others on FLICKR if you wish to take a look. including ones from the previous owner plus then some I took just after I bought her. The complete set can be seen at:

http://www. flickr. com/photos/philwilgil/sets/72157634502462365/

NOTE. on the offside side picture you can see some dark marks just in front of the rear wheelarch. These are NOT rust. they are anti-rust treatment stuff I put onto the seam before I put the trim on. and I completely forgot to wipe off before it had dried and hardened – see the close up picture to prove. It's hardened so I'm not sure if spirit will remove it. so may need to be touched up with paint?

The underside picture is of the rear middle. showing how well the underside is rustproofed – this is part of the rear subframe.

Almost all the engineering work on her has been done by Qprep engineering. classic car and engineering experts:

www. qprep. co. uk

and from the airbox fabrication and fitting. to the steering and suspension set up. bespoke stainless steel exhaust section. engine fitting. etc. etc all work is of the highest standard.

The result is that I have a mini which

·         has been resprayed in SEAT Canica Blue – as used on the Arosa models – which compliments the original brown still visible inside the interior      10" Minilite alloy wheels·         has been fastidiously treated with anti-rust products from ‘Rustbuster' – the Practical Classics award winning treatments http://www. rust. co. uk/. which has included using their FE-123 rust converter. MIL SPEC for the box section cavities. and their 2-pack EPOXY MASTIC tough finish for the underside. The front subframe was completely treated with the 2-pack when the engine was out. ·         Has disc brakes at the front. and brand new complete Minispares drum brakes at the back·         All the suspension and steering components have been replaced. and correctly set up·         All CV drivetrain components replaced·         A 1330cc A+ engine. with MiniSport Stage 4 cylinder head·         Weber 45 DCOE fully tuned at Northampton Motorsport's rolling road·         lightened and balanced flywheel and crank·         RE130T fast sport camshaft from the Keith Calver (MiniMag technical guru) website http://www. calverst. com/·         lightweight race alternator. with fabricated/strengthened bracket·         Minispares ‘Radtec' radiator – these cost over £200·         lightweight starter·         electric fuel pump located in the boot·         uprated clutch·         drilled flywheel housing for additional cooling·         straight cut gearbox with X-pin diff  ·         aluminium catch tank·         DSNClassics billet alloy timing cover. top engine stay with integral thermostat housing. and flywheel side engine stay. These items are costly but extremely well made and look fantastic!  ·         Peugeot 106 diesel battery – bigger and more powerful than the standard mini item. but which fits in perfectly!·         Optimise Automotive vinyl roof·         MOT until 25th April 2014·         Tax until 31st October 2013

GAH 773T was always garaged with her previous owners. and has always been garaged with me. and the bodywork and general condition illustrates this. Whoever buys this will have an extremely good looking mini. in great condition inside. outside and underneath. and which is frighteningly quick.

This is a mini that begs to be driven. and would suit anyone who either wants to impress on the road. use for track days. or even as a great basis for club racing. It pulls really well up to 5000rpm. but at that point the camshaft really does the business and it flies!

At Northampton Motorsport. as can be seen on the picture (see the FLICKR set of pics). the rolling road tuning session took it up to 7000rpm. 121mph. 106bhp and 95 torque.

Whoever buys my mini will get something that will impress. and what's even better. give them an opportunity to stamp their own identity to the interior if so desired. I like it how it is. because it's understated and apart from the Corbeau front bucket seats (which are very comfortable and supportive) it's very close to original. However. I can imagine a new owner could really improve on the inside – or if it was to be used on the track then stripped out!

NOTE that I have a brand new unused full deluxe set of black carpets and underlay which I bought last year intending to fit. but I haven't because whoever buys this may decide to strip out and use for the track. so that would be a waste. This full set can be bought separately for a negotiated price by the buyer. or else I'll put on eBay.

Therefore you can see that I've put back the original floor section of brown carpet. but the wheel-arches just have soundproofing stuck on – you can see the carpet clips sticking out in the pictures.

The bodywork was good when I bought her. and it still is seeing as it's always garaged and rarely sees rain. The usual suspect areas are fabulously rust-free. such as around the windscreen – the windscreen was replaced with a laminated one. so I can confirm there's no rust at all around the rim – or around the areas below the windscreen where the bonnet begins and the wings join. All these areas are completely rust-free. as is the boot. where there's no rust inside or in the battery box.

Further improvements? If I was being picky. the A panel on the offside could do with being replaced. but it's been treated (as has everywhere else) and has no rust. but shows it's age a bit.

I'm not giving this mini away. so it's got a realistic reserve. but equally I don't expect to get back anywhere near what I've spent on it either!

I would recommend anyone seriously considering buying it coming along and inspecting it. just to see. hear and feel the quality. and I don't want to be bothered by tyre-kickers or time-wasters. This mini needs to go to a good home where it will be cared for like I have. I'm on the Northants/Cambs border near Peterborough.

Paypal will NOT be accepted. even though eBay insists you say it is (well eBay own Paypal so no surprise there then!). it's CASH or BANK TRANSFER only.

Thanks for looking. nbsp;

When I mention the odd scratch here and there. there's no real bad ones. just a couple of 1 inch ones (from being in the garage where I have bikes hanging) that I've touched up. It's just that I felt I should emphasise that this mini is not concourse. but it's solid and and whoever buys it will be proud of it.
