1978 MG Midget 1500 - 51200 miles - one previous owner

I bought this 1978 1500 MG Midget from the original lady owner in May 2015.

She bought it new on the 2nd August 1978 from PJ Evans in Birmingham.

In the 37 years she owned the MG she had only done 49. 00 miles and the car had been religiously serviced every year. All the service documents and original bill of sale comes with the car. The MG had been ‘Endrusted' from new and this has saved the shell from any corrosion.

Although the car had been kept in good condition. and garaged all its life. I wanted to make sure it was perfect so set about a programme of refurbishment which included the following:

New master clutch cylinder

Four new Continental Tyres on refurbished wheels and chrome nuts

Carpet set for the boot

Footwell mats

New rear springs

New front and rear shock absorbers

Top trunnion kit

Replace rear quarter screens on the hood

Replace coil. leads. rotor arm and cap

Replace radiator hoses and fill with 4life

Replace various switches and bulbs etc

Fit a NOS Motorola AM radio

I then asked a specialist classic car paint company to strip the car and repaint it in original Inca Yellow. The result is incredible and the MG now looks like it has just come out of the showroom!

MOT'd until August 2017 with no advisories and now showing 51200 miles.

The interior is perfect with no rips or damage. and the hood is the same.

Included in the sale is all the original documentation. receipts. invoices and a DVD with over 100 photographs of the body restoration.

There is nothing to do to this fantastic car but to jump in it and enjoy. I had my fun restoring it and now it's your turn to enjoy driving it.
