hi there i have 2 ford cortina mk 2s to finish so i may need to unload the mk1 custom ive owned her for a number of years now i stripped her down and scrapped her tatty seats and ripped carpets and took out her wornout 1500cc engine iput in a capri tunnel i gave her a custom paint job then dropped in a 2. 8 granada engine with a 5 speed manual gearbox with alloy rocker covers chrome strut brace chrome header tank chrome water tank chrome bonnet stay chrome dipstick chrome k+n on new carb  i welded the engine brackets to the chassis legs hence the srut brace put a 1600e lotus rear axle on and had the propshaft done at trafford park i put on 6 leaf rear chrome springs of a chevy with two 4inch rear deep dish appliance chrome wheels and two 2inch frontdeep dish chrome appliance wheels chrome wheels were done at stourbridge [midlands] i then put on a pair of old school side pipes in chrome and put a pair of spark plugs in the pipes running to to coils under the car when the car is hot you can rev up press a button and she will send out flames and a bang from the pipes of the unspent fuel  there is also neon lights under the front rear and sides of the car great at night on blackpool front even the skulls light up blue and red around the custom number plates i then fitted a black carpet and seats out of a jaguar 01 model the chrome steering wheel and flame chrome boss and half inch billet alloy interior mirror i had sent from the u s a the steering column is out of a capri and joins up to a escort quickrack on a escort crossmember the front legs are 2. 8 capri with chrome calipers to match and a servo fitted under the wing the engine is serviced and tuned at r and e at bury all the glass is lightly tinted the battery is in the boot which makes room for the air hornsat the front the radiator i had made in alloy with a sensor if she gets hot a second fan will kick in it has never been needed yet she has an electric fuel pump and chrome filter a new clutch and starter motor the artwork is based on a tribute to all who fought in ww2 it has lancaster bombers on the sides as in the dam busters on the bonnet a wounded pilot at the controls in and around a dog fight and on the boot a rear gunner shooting at the enemy over the cliffs of dover on the front grill is a rack of spitfire bullets so there you have it if it sells it sells if it doesent i wont be worried i will just finish the mk2 cortinas and sell them thanks for reading p. s. this is the only tribute to the guys and gals who gave up there lives for us so we could be here that I have seen . A big thanks to our armed forces
