Amphicar was the only production vehicle approved for use on and off road by the DOT and the US Coast guard . Off road in this case means off land. This example has been owned by the same family for nearly a decade. Sporting five-not four-new--radial tires.   It has spent most if its life in the water. With these hot summer days--where else would you want to be but in the water?

The amphi has been maintained for reliability and performance--Coachwork and interior are original. Brake cylinders and less than a year old. New high performance clutch by John Freese and all new bearings
make the vessel extremely reliable.

A new top and original tool kit and original jack are included.

This is a late 1967 model with black painted dash and interlocking bilge blower. The bilge has to run for two minutes before the engine will start. It also has the interlocking nav light that will only work when the props are engaged.

The amphi was sourced from readily available components at the time of manafacturer and all parts are readily available today. The engine is a triumph 1147 with solec carb.   Prpos are original.   Both the frame and front and rear deck lids immaculate are completely rust free an area of some concern.


The frame and been cleaned and treated with an anti rust treatment.
